I loaded them on the window media player and converted them to wma and burned a cd. I want to add file to my portable device but the scan disk show the title but zero kb when I check the properties.

WMP11 is not without its glitches but if you want a good sync without many problems use WMP10 it has many more capabilities and upgrades than the 11 considering its relatively new i also have the Sansa e250 surprinsingly enough it holds 4 gigs not 2

Yes, you can, although using Window Media Player to transfer/sync is very slow. It is essential to use Windows Media Player if you want to transfer licenced .wma files but it is quicker to just drag & drop the files in Windows.
(.wma files are like mp3s but use a different encoding method)
If you are happy to take the slow route using WMP, (or you need to use WMP to transfer .wma files) then connect your player to the computer by USB, open WMP & click "Sync". Your player should show & you can add files to it in this window.
For quicker file transfer, just locate your connected mp3 player (Start/MyComputer) then copy & paste, or drag & drop files or folders onto it.
Hope this helps!
SOURCE: Sansa e260 video question...
You need to use the sansa media converter program that came with the sansa on the CD. This is used for photos and for video. The supported files are listed on the screen once you open it.

Try to Re-Install The SMC. If that doesnt Work then:
Formatt your player. Warning: IT will delete Everything. Then it should work. Then Reload songs. and/or Videos.
Or download the Latest Firmware to it. I think it is 1.02.23 For America. you can get it at www.sandisk.com or just google it. Hope that works.
SOURCE: USB card memory drop & files lost
Your card is showing signs of improper removal or virus infestation. I would run a virus scan on it at once, back up any remaining data (after scanning of course), then follow the instructions when you remove the card from your computer. Not shutting down the card before removing is similar to turning off your computer without shutting down first. Usually it's ok, but it can cause data loss.
Good luck.
