Question about Sanyo AVM-2759S 27" TV

Channels change without changing channels!

I know that sounds strange...BUT, when we put the TV on one channel, it seems to go through all of the channels (while staying on the same number). I.E. I'll put it on channel 10, and it will stay on channel 10 (per the display), but will go through all channels, fading from one channel to white noise, then to the next channel for a few seconds and so on. We've tried autoprogramming, we've tried unplugging the set. Any other suggestions?

My TV will not change channels it seems stuck on channel 2 This is true with the remote and with the buttons on the set.

Try to change the channel by manually putting the numbers in with your remote. If this works then you probably need to program your channels.

Screen has black box with greek letters on channel

If you put the TV on CH 3 and use a VCR (if available) to change channels you'll know if it's the TV or cable channel (sound like the channel)

it is hard to determine the problem without knowing some more info like if you have cable -satalite- or antenna service it could also have splitter problem so give us more to work with.

How do I tune TV channels on my Sharp CX48G4 TV without a remote control? There is no tuning / settings panel on the TV itself which is very strange.

press the preset button on the front panel once then (TV should be on) the on the screen there should be words the likes of (Auto VHF 1 60.00mhz) now the Auto stands for auto tuning VHF stands for its frequency where its going to search the 1 stands for the channel where its going to start with 60.00mghz stands for the lowest signal to which its going to start now that you have understood all that just press the volume up button then it will automaticly locate all your working channels leave till it stops for when does it will start from channel 1 to which I believe that you be able to see the channel working so press the up button on the channel button to check the rest of your channels hope this will solve your problem!

Channel keeps changing

It sounds like a stuck button or switch. What happens when you hit the channel DOWN, does it still keep scrolling down?
Is this with or without the remote?
Have you tried it with the remote and or the TV?

Let me know whether you are changing the channels with the remote or the buttons on the tv and I can try to give you a couple more suggestions.
Mac =)

Turn tv on, and it scrolls through the channels

Had the same problem, channels would not stop scrolling.
It was as though someone had there finger on the channel up button.
Disconnected the sixth wire, starting with the black wire on the wiring harness for the front buttons, on/off, ch. up/down, vol. up/down, etc.
It works fine, no more unwanted channel surfing!!

Sharp tv changing channels

Well, the only thing that seems to be working so far is to plug AV cables into the "input 2" ports (on the front of TV). I plugged in my PS2, without turning it on. It has not switched at random since (about 30 minutes - it had been switching off and on for the past 2 hours). Anyone else have similar success?
