If your HDMI output doesn't work you may have to use a VGA cable to connect to the VGA port in the back of your TV. There won't be any sound so you'll also have to get a stereo cable and connect that to your laptop and to the audio input on the TV
Depend on drivers. Open control panel and click right button on display. Under drivers update click on it. If you are connected to internet check for update if not then check for software changes
method one:
restart computer and while pressing F8 and select "last known good configuration".
method two:
repeat same steps but select "safe mode". right click on Computer Icon- Properties- device manager- slide to sound,video and game controllers. remove your sound driver and restart then it automatically installs driver

Hi Idgetwidget, I don't think its broken. What your'e experiencing could be because there is no Operating System[Windows] installed on your Laptop! You can download the Operating Systems from this Microsoft site.
