Question about Vtech V.Smile TV Learning System

Something with the screen

I`m trying to start the system up. It shows me windows sign that it`s downloading and apparently just before the system restart the view is dissapearing but the sound is still on. so it`s like system restarted but without the view. What`s going on ?? Please Help me !!!!

Make sure the power cord is plugged in and that the red/white/yellow cables are plugged properly into the TV. Also, as you plug the red/white/yellow cables into the TV, make sure you turn the TV to the right channel - it is different for every TV. For instance, the red/white/yellow on the front of my Sony is labelled Video 2 - yours might be labelled FRONT, AUX, or something else.

Things you can try to get the V.Smile TV Learning System to work:
1) Press the Reset – Press and hold the ON button for about 10 seconds
2) Make sure the game is inserted far enough into the system, and that it is pointing in the right direction. You may occasionally need to clean the contacts.
3) Also, make sure you are using the supplied power cord/adapter, not batteries. Batteries cause more problems than they’re worth.

SolutionIf your Leapster system does not respond to the stylus pen, it needs to be calibrated. To calibrate your Leapster system:
  1. Turn the unit on and wait for the sign-in screen to appear.
  2. Hold down the Home, Hint, and B buttons simultaneously.
  3. When the screen changes, press the A button.
  4. Using the Stylus, touch the center of the targets.

How to Sync Stylus with LeapFrog Leapster 2 Learning System


If you need to sync the device to the stylus just follow the steps below.<br /><br />1. Turn your <span>Leapster</span> 2 off, and remove the game cartridge<br /><br />2. Hold down the 'hint' button while the game is off. The 'hint' button is the middle small button in the row of three above the directional pad on the left, with a '?' on it.<br /><br />3. With your finger still firmly on the 'hint' button, turn the <span>Leapster</span> 2 back on. Keep your finger on the 'hint' button.<br /><br />4. The screen should be displaying the calibration screen. You can release the 'hint' button now.<br />5. Press the 'A' button on the right to enter the calibration screen.<br /><br />6. A small '+' sign will appear on the screen. Touch it with the stylus. A new '+' sign will appear. Touch this with the stylus too, and repeat for as many '+' signs as your <span>Leapster</span> 2 throws at you.<br /><br />7. The screen will return to the calibration screen. You can now turn the machine off. Leave the cartridge out of the console, and turn it back on.<br /><br />8. You will likely need to do a recovery. I would call them at 1.800.521.2010 or email them to see if you can download it. I saw in a solution for another Vtech product that they had a direct download link. I tried modifying it to reflect your product, but had no luck. Good luck.

Having and issue with the audio download on the Leapfrog Tag system. I have Leapfrog Connect installed on my Mac. Audio for books previously downloaded and newly downloaded are not able to be put on pen. I...


Just got this from LeapFrog. Worked for me, although it toook a couple of attempts.
For Macs:

Please try downloading and running this tool and connect the Tag Reader when prompted:

http://lfccontent.leapfrog.com/cs/tools/LeapFrogTagFixTool.dmg

For Windows machines:

1. Close the LeapFrog Connect application.
2. Double-click on this link http://lfccontent.leapfrog.com/cs/tools/LeapFrogTagFixTool.exe then click "Run."
3. Click "Unzip" to extract the files.
(You will be asked for a location to save the files. Save them to your Desktop or to another folder that you can easily find.)
4. After the files are extracted, find the "LeapFrogTagFixTool" folder on your Desktop (or where you saved the extracted files).
5. Open the folder and double-click the "TagFixTool.exe" file to open the LeapFrog Tag Repair Utility program.
6. Connect your Tag Reader to the computer. (Make sure your toy is powered on.)
7. To start the repair process, click the "Click once to fix your Tag Reader or Tag Junior" button.
8. Once the repair process is complete, follow steps printed on the screen to close the program and open LeapFrog Connect.

To reset your v.reader (which will erase everything on it), you need an SD card with at least 64mo and follow these steps:

Download the Recovery card program:

For the US version
http://contentcdn.vtechda.com/vtechkidsDownload/US/VReader/Tool/Recover/US-engRecoverCardTool.exe

For the Canadian english version
http://contentcdn.vtechda.com/vtechkidsDownload/CA-eng/VReader/Tool/Recover/CA-engRecoverCardTool.exe

Run the downloaded program and follow the steps. It takes a few minutes to do but the instructions are simple.

I just bougth a Barbie video Girl for my little Daughter, the problem is that on screen appears a memory card with and exclamation sign, no video has recorded yet, record, play and delete buttons dont work...


We just encountered this problem--Barbie's hard disk is full .You need to delete the files from the drive (even if you think you've downloaded them all previously). You need to tell your pc/mac to show hidden files (default setting is to hide them), then manually delete them. Not sure what started this problem, although improperly ejecting the Barbie drive might be the culprit, as this problem happened after we did this.

My sons mobigo touch and learn game says he has earned a new reward... where do i log in to download it?


Looks like it is a bit of a ploy to get the child's progress. You have to download the Learning Lodge Navigator and connect your son's device to the computer. It will download his progress. When you are done it will show some trophy icons on the login screen. That's the "reward."

I running windows 7 and I orderd the E-sky flight simulater and when I got it I try to download it onto my pc and it will not run is there a update or something to download to make it work?


Try checking if the manufacturer has a web site. (I could only find sites that were selling the product.) Otherwise, this seems to have drivers for XP and before. You can try running the installer and other programs in the XP compatability mode. (Right click on the exe and choose Properties, then select the Compatability tab. Check the box for Run program in compatability mode and select XP from the drop-down menu). Then right click on the installer again and choose Run as Administrator.

If you have Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate, there is another work-around. Download and install the two programs that create Microsoft's XP mode. Install the device in the virtual XP computer that is now on your computer. (You no longer need a CPU that handles virtualization to do this.)

Software "can't connect" to device even thoug camrea is saying USB


I downloaded current drivers and camera seems to work properly now. The drivers on the disk may have issues. Also, I carefully followed the users manual in terms of when to plug in USB and when to push buttons. Something finally clicked.
