Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Want to wipe out and restore factory settings does not have cd

in the 'start menu' search box, type: System Restore
your computer should search for that program, click on it and restore to oldest date, or factory settings. be prepared for many windows updates and maybe many driver updates

Try disabling startup programs. Go to Start > Run (search in Win 7) and type MSConfig. In Startup tab, uncheck anything that you don't want Windows to load automatically. It will make Windows boot faster and use less resources while running. This just disables them in startup. Programs will still load, but when only you initiate.

I clicked completely restore system to factory defaults, but it does not respond

It's probably wanting you to insert some restore discs into the cd/dvd drive.

Some manufacturers leave it up to you to create the restore discs when you first purchase the system. Some put it on the hard drive for you, which sounds like is not your case. Don't sweat it because most times the restore discs that users have to create don't work.

Have you tried doing a System Restore? Click Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore. Select a Restore Point (date and time) before you started having problems. Unlike System Recovery that takes you back to factory defaults and deletes everything, System Restore does not delete your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the program was installed after the Restore Point you selected).

If System Restore does not work for you, then you can always Reinstall your Operating System.

Calibrating compass

Yes you can. What you have to do is press the mode button on the driver info center(DIC).Press and hold the set button for 3 seconds. The DIC will display the zone. This is what part of the country you live in.What state your in.I don`t know what Zone your in so I don`t know if it is in the correct zone or not. They go from i-15.This will determine how accurate your compass will be.If you press set it will change the zones. If it is the correct zone then press the mode set button til the DIC displays calibrate compass.Press set and the DIC will tell you to drive in circles.Find a large empty parking lot to do this.I just crank the steering wheel and keep going in circles. The DIC will say calibrating. When the compass shows direction and temperature it is done calibrating and you can stop driving in circles.Hope this helps.Good luck.If you need to know what Zone your in Just post back with the state you live in and I can tell you the zone.

Getting the message Problem Event Name: StartupRepairV2. Is the only way to solve this with recovery dics?

Yes, if it has failed completely, you should perform a complete repair. If you can get into "Safe Mode" press F8 when first booting, and run "System Restore" or if ya can't do that use the built in recovery mode & repair.
Though first ya can try removing that startuprepairV2 first via add/remove programs in control panel. See if that fixes things B4 resorting to drastic action.

Very slow

This series it's usually F10 or F11

If they don't work go into bios setup(key displayed at boot) and read through the boot menu, the F-Key is generally listed there.

Hope this helps FixYa,
