When replacing an old broken antenna with a new one, say purchased off of Ebay, simply rip out the extendable part with a pair of pliers then rip out the plastc body that is attacked to the body of the cell phone(needle nose pliers work good because you can get one of the points on the inside whole of the antenna casing). I initially took off all the back screws underneith the battery and the one under the QuallCom link cover on the back and cut away at some plastic with an Exacto knife. This may not be a necessary step. Then you simply slide the new antenna in the phone making sure that the plastic tube is in place in side the phone. thanks for reading, hope this helps. Remember, easy does it till you get frustrated:)

The antenna is still available at E. Coast Transistor Parts 516-483-5742 in W. Hamstead, NY 11552. I just received two at $11.25 ea delivered for $30.45 total. (Part #: T90-1004-25). Very nice and knowledgable customer reps were happy to help me.

I,am just now working to install them so,I will have to get back on that part.

Carefully remove 4 internal(inside battery compartment) screws and two near top back and the front face will remove..BE CAREFUL WHEN SEPERATING BECAUSE SPEAKER WIRES WILL HOLD TWO HALFS TOGETHER WITH A LITTLE ROOM TO SEPERATE PIECES.

Pull off vol. knob, remove lock nut below. Carefully SEPERATE body, bottom first. Remove gold screw from board and black screw at antenna. Carefully remove antenna parts and final screw. REPLACE ANTENNA, screw down, replace board and black, and gold screws. Replace antenna locknut, rubber side covers over put button and side plugs. Replace 4 short screws inside batt. Compartment plus 2 long screw on top of back. careful not to,over tighten. Replace battery pack and cover.

First one took 30-35 min. Second took 20 min.

How to replace antenna on MF 383 tractor

1st im going to assume you've got a rare one with a full house on it instead of a bikini top model (more common)
the antenna for roof top radio should mount like a std car type (hence id obtain a car type replacement) use the cable from old antenna to use as a "puller" tape the new to the old and pull new wire to radio back , this keeps you from removing the entire roof trim to get wire inside . new antenna then just tightens up from outside using pliers (grips to sheet metal) and inside end just plugs into radio back panel simple

Antenna behind the mirror don;t know what iit is

This is normally an antenna for a power door opener or a remote starter, if you bought the car used and have no idea about this, you should have a seperate key fob that would operate the remote starter or the remote keyless entry

Just bought a house and moved in. I have plug the TV into the wall antenna socket and the TV comes up with the message 'weak or no signal' what could be the problem?

Hi, congratulation on your new house!

The problem is obviously from your antenna. The TV is not recieving any reception from the antenna and that is why it is displaying 'weak or no signal'.

Cross check your antenna connection and make sure the antenna wire is intact.

Also, most antenna's come with a booster. The booster makes reception from the antenna very strong and the TV would be clear.

Lastly, is this a new antenna or were you using it in your old house?

Please give me a feed back.

Yours sincerely.

What you have to do is simple.
1. Remove the battery cover, battery and SIM
2. Use the screwdriver or tweezers to gently pry off the RF grommet located on the antenna cap (below)

  • Removing the antenna cover:
    3. Carefully use the flat end of the tweezers to release two latches on the top end of the antenna cover, then carefully lift the antenna cover away from the phone.
  • Removing the transceiver PC board shield:
4.Using the T5 screwdriver, remove the 6 housing screws from the phone. Set the screws aside for re-use (see Figure 10).
5.Lift the metal shield away from the phone.
  • Removing the housing:
    6. Insert the plastic shim between the front housing and the chassis assembly. Slide the plastic shim around the phone between the front housing and the phone to release the housing catches along the sides of the front housing
  • Removing the housing:
    7. Carefully lift the bottom end of the front housing over the phone. The earpiece will still be connecting the front cover to the rest of the phone at the top of the phone so be careful
  • Removing the earpiece speaker from the front housing:
    8. Use the plastic shim or tweezers to separate the earpiece speaker from the front housing
  • Removing the LCD screen:
    9. Use the tweezers to release the display module assembly latch located at the side of the display module
  • Removing the LCD screen:
    10. Lift up the top edge of the display module
    11. Carefully thread the display flex cable through the slot in the chassis assembly and lift the display module away from the chassis
Replace the old screen with new an

Broken outer Mini Display

Well to replace the lcd first you need a new one and the proper screwdrivers to open it,usually when you get a new lcd it will be one piece with inside display and outer display,i have not opened the phone in question before but they all seem to have the same method, there should be 4 screws on the inside of the housing around the lcd, usually a t6 screw driver will work once you get these screws out you will need somthing thin like a credit card to seperate the housing.Ok now you should have the outer housing off and looking at your lcd.there is going to be one or two flex cables attached to it these disconnect easy once disconnected all you have to do is using tweezers or somthing get the lcd out the big display part will have a plastic covering that is stuck to the front if you remove this you could just push your lcd out from the bottom if you dont you will just have to play around till you get it out.then you just pop your new one in connect the flex cable(s) and put your housing back on

How would i fix my nokia 6103?

Get a T6 screwdriver, remove the battery cover, battery, and sim. Next, gently pop off the antenna cover at the top of the phone exposing 2 of the 4 screws in the back of the phone. The other two screws are already visible near the bottom of the battery compartment.

After the 4 screws are removed, carefully use your fingernail or small flat tool to seperate the back of the phone (D housing) from the keypad housing (C housing). Once this is seperated, you will see the back of the main motherboard. Lift up on the board gently from the bottom. You will notice that at the top, the main cable plugs into the board. GENTLY unplug this cable. Be very careful not to damage the plug or the channel.

Once the cable is free, the board will pretty much fall out of the phone. On the back of the phone (the one with all the heat shields) - you can pop off the heat shields with a small screwdriver or knive CAREFULLY!!!! Remove them all. Look for any signs of corrosion, especially at the top and top right. This should be right above the battery contact terminals. This is where your RF modulator is.

Brush the entire back of the board with 91% rubbing alcohol and a soft to medium bristled toothbrush.

Also, make sure your phone still has an antenna. Sometimes, if this model phone gets dropped, the antenna cover will pop off and the antenna will go flying (just snaps into the back housing). Many people pick up the cover and snap it back on, not realizing they are missing an antenna. To see what the antenna looks like, go to ebay and search for a Nokia 6102i, or 6103 antenna. If your phone does not have this part, order it, snap it in place so that the little metal contact will touch the main board and you're good.

If you do have this part in place, then continue with the alcohol bath. Also, on the front side of the board, you will notice a white sticker which retains all the surface switches of the phone. You can very carefully peal this off exposing all of the contact surfaces for the switches. Make sure this is clean as well.

Dry the phone with a hairdryer. (Rubbing Alcohol evaporates fast, but it lingers longer under the chipsets so it is good to bring the temperature of the board up to speed up the process). A hair dryer won't get it hot enough to do damage.

Once you are sure all the alcohol in the phone is dry, reassemble the phone in reverse order of the way you took it apart.

Let me know what you find out after performing the above steps. If you find severe corrosion, email me. daelmyth@yahoo.com

Handset settings for nkia 6103

I posted this solution for someone with the same phone with service issues. Follow the same steps to disassemble and clean. The phone has corrosion from the moisture on the backside of the plug on the bottom. This is fooling the phone into thinking that there is a headset plugged in when there is not. Let me know if this helps. And please don't forget to rate. Feel free to contact me via email if you need additional help. Solution #1 posted on Sep 11, 2008 0%20stars.png
