Can u tell me how to get my wireless router connected to the internet. I keeps telling me there is no internet connection

Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer'sLAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin'sconfiguration URL. http://192.168.2.1
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop withthe router's wireless settings. Connect a LAN cable from your DSL or cable modem to the Belkin's WAN/Internet port.

The only light on my router is the router light. No other lights are coming on. I have tried rebooting.

When facing the router, Globe/Internet LED is on the right. Below are the LED indicators; Check the steps below:

Wireless Security - This light will only turn on if the wireless security is enabled.

Wireless-Computer Status - This light will turn on if a wireless computer is connected to the router.

Wired-computer Status - This light will turn on if a wired computer is connected to the router. Connect the wired computer to any gray port on the router. (There are 4 gray ports).

Router Status - Power light. Solid blue means the router is on and ready.

Modem Status - If this is off, it means the router is not connected to the modem. Make sure the cable is connected from the modem to the yellow port on the router.

Internet Status - This light will indicate if the router is connected to the internet.

If this is the first time you are installing the router, then what is important is to get the router, wired-computer and modem lights ON. Once they are on, you may insert the CD that came with the Belkin router to setup the internet connection and wireless settings.

Modem router light blinking (no wireless connection) F5D8631-4

Try restoring the Belkin back to the factory default by powering up the Belkin and pressing the RESET button on the back of the Belkin for 7 secs. Then connect a LAN cable from the computer to the Belkin, open IE browser and type the configuration IP address and configure the wireless settings ie. SSID, encryption etc. The computer wireless cards will need to be configured with the Belkin wireless settings to allow them to communicate with the Belkin.

Belkins router not connecting to cable modem

You need to start from beginning. Clear all temp internet files and run this programme Start>Run ipconfig /flushdns and hit enter. Get into the routers settings(probably 192.168.2.1) and ensure in the Lan settings that 'DHCP Server' is on and wireless is enabled.(you might need to be connected by RJ45 lan cable first) If it's a 125mbps router change settings to 54mbps to try that speed first(especially as your wireless cards will be 54 mbps) look in Mac address Filtering is off. Look in the DHCP Client list and see if your pc's were allocated ip addresses, if so it should allow an internet connection. Go to both your pc's wireless cards properties and under TCP/IP properties ensure obtain ip address automatically is checked. Restart both pc's and the router, disconnect cable and try wirelessly
