LG Shine unlock code

Are there any sites out there where you can get an unlock code for cell phones for free? I just bought an LG Shine and the guy told me it was unlocked, but it's not. Please help!! how do i get the 16 digit unlock code? PLEASE HELP SOMEONE

    • If you call AT&T they will not answer your call. We moved and our cell phone did not work in the new area we moved to, so we had no choice but to get a new provider. We had just bought our slider phone a month before moving and had to pay $150 after rebates and such. So keep in mind if you do not have AT&T service it is not as easy get the unlock code as AT&T want you to call from your cell phone for questions. I will remember this when I shop around in the future for new cell phone service once we transfer again. AT&T is all around not a good choice for cell phone service. I have seen sites that allow you to purchase the unlock code -- but so far I have been waiting for the email to arrive with my magical unlock code and no email yet. So if you are wanting to do this expeditiously then I would suggest looking for a site where you can call from your land line and get the answer fairly quickly.

call att and give them your imei number behind the battery. get the code and then type in

*#865625#

and then type in the code you got from the att customer service.

I ENTERED THE WRONG CODE 5 TIMES IT SAYS MY PHONE IS PERMITLY LOCKED CAN IT BE UNLOCKED
