The central control unit has detected a short in the motor contol unit. If a failure occurs during the high speed spin the door will be locked after 3 minutes.

Potential causes
1.Check the wire harness connections between the drive motor and the motor control unit and between the motor control unit and the central control unit.
2.Check the MCU... The mcu motor connector has 5 pins. pin 1 is at the top then 2345 going down
Pin 1 to 2 = 6 ohms
pin 1 to 3 = 6 ohms
pin 2 to 3 = 6 ohms
3.Check the Drive Motor
pin 1 to 2 = 6 ohms
pin 2 to 3 = 6 ohms
pin 1 to 3 = 6 ohms
4.Check the wire Harness

Why microwave won't stop running unless door is open ?

Is it actually heating or just making noise and acting like it's heating? (put a cup of water inside and close the door.) IF it's actually heating, then you have a shorted relay on the main control board, and you will have to replace the board. IF it's just making noise like it's working, but it's not heating, then the problem is 1 of the door switches is not working right (it's either stuck open or stuck closed).

Error f-dl

The door lock and door itself is to be checked. Is the door closing properly or is it remaining open.Check and confirm it.If the door open/close properly then its the door lock latch problem. It has to be checked and replaced. The FdL error code indicates a problem with the door lock assembly on the washer. The control board detects that the washer door is not locking properly. Replacing the door lock assembly will normally fix this problem. It can also be caused by a wire harness connection failure or sometimes by a failed control board. But in most of the cases its faulty door lock.To get the required parts you can get it from.----------- -------- -------------- Keep updated for any further queries.Thanks.

E40 error door light flashing and clicking noise

E40: Door open, Interlock, wiring or main PCB most likley going to be faulty door interlock.

Turn the power off, unplug the machine and take the top off your machine and on the front right of the machine there is a plastic case with lots of wires.

Put the wires out one block at a time, keep putting them in and out, this will help the connection to seat.

Try the machine again and the problem should be solved.

If not you may need a new board.

My washing machine gets stuck when it is going to start the rinse cycle

Top 10 frontload washer problems

1)Water fill problem: water took more than 10 minutes to fill to desired level sometimes indicated as a LF/IE or long fill/inlet error. Water valve screens clogged, hoses kinked, low water pressure, unpaid water bill. Check hose, clean screens.
2)Excessive vibration: noisey, roar, knocking noises. Bad damper, bearing or broken trunion. no error code
3)Dispenser drawer open/detergent in wrong compartment: washer will not operate with drawer open or cleaning products in wrong compartment.
4)Washer won't drain: clogged pump/filter, slow or clogged drain usually indicated as a LD/DE, if a code is given (long drain/drain error) Clear pump of objects
5)Drum overfilled: usually caused by sediment in the water level pressure sensing tube going up to the main control.Find it and blow out the sediment, re-secure pump out water and retry.
6)Door open, Door not latched, clothes/objects keeping door from completly closing. Tighten door latch, add washers if nessesary to make good contact and close door tighter in case of leaks.Note some models send a sig nal to the motor and another to the control letting both know the door is secure before proceeding, corrosion gets into the lid lock and the door can be locked and the control is ready but the motor ain't getting the message.
7)Cold water does not enter washer: hoses connected backwards. Oops.
8)Oversudsing: Wrong Detergent, too much detergen, detergent in wrong dispensing drawer, turbidity monitors pick up particles in the water and judge soil content then the washer allows for extra time to wash the clothes, if the wrong detergent is in there the machine thinks that is too much and declares a suds error. On some models a suds detect is determined by the motor over amping, most machines will try a few mini loads to correct the problem. Remove detergent, retry
9)Locked motor: error LE,loose connection,broken wire/hallsensor, motor overheated/failed.
10)Water heating error, hE, the termister/heater is out.

Your repair Manual with photos and tech data HERE
I will leave that on there for a while but it takes up broadband so print that manual out and keep it close to that washer.

Strong mildew smell in washer is making cloths & towels smell bad, how do you get rid of the problem?

if you look inside washer there is a rubber rim on the inside around the openning. Look inside and you will find where the stink is coming from. Keep door open when not in use and wipe inside of rubber trim to keep the mildew out.

I use tilex sometimes and do a rinse spin.

There is a terrible odor coming from washing machine

Make sure there are no leaks from the machine. Look behind it and check the water inlet hose and connectors for any damage. Also look under the machine for any water as this may indicate a leak from the internal hose and pipe work and / or water pump. Also check that the outlet hose is completely clear of debris and soap scum build up and check that the filter is clean.

To keep the machine clean of waste build up and to keep any bad odours away
1. Remove all items from the washer.
2. Open the dispenser drawer and 2/3 cup (160 mL) of liquid chlorine bleach to the bleach compartment. DO NOT use more than 2/3 cup (160mL) of bleach per cycle as this will lead to product damage.
3. Close the washer door and dispenser drawer.
4. Select the Clean Washer cycle or a full wash cotton 104 F wash (40 C). DO NOT use any higher temperature as this will cause unnecessary fumes
5. Press Start and allow cycle to complete.
6. After the cycle is complete, leave the door open slightly to allow ventilation and drying of the washer interior.
7. Repeat the cleaning procedure monthly
As you have replaced the interlock switch check that it is working my using a multimeter on it.

If that is Ok then you probably have a problem with the wiring from the switch to the controller board or with the controller board itself.

Hotpoint bwm129 making huming noise

Sounds like the rinse water can't come. Maybe the solenoid for cold water got stuck or a water filter needs cleaning? If the humming is louder, perhaps the drum motor (or drum) needs a little care or cleaning.

If all else fails, download the user manual and check the trouble checklist index. (Or; try learning your kenpo succession move sparring against laundry to clean it.)

Washer will not start

"Fdl" is definitely a door latch error. This will cause the washer not to start. You will need to replace the latch to keep from getting errors and intermittent problems. It will only get worse until it fails altogether. To replace, just follow these steps: 1. Unplug the washer. 2. Feel around the rubber door boot along the front edge. At the bottom, behind the rubber you will find a tension spring. Pull the tension spring out and remove the wire retaining hoop. 3. Remove the door boot from around the door opening and push inside the washer so you can access the door latch behind the front panel. 4. Remove the three screws on the front of the washer that hold the latch in place. 5. Carefully remove the wire connecting plugs to the door latch and remove latch assembly from plastic retainer holding it in place. 6. Replace the door latch in the reverse order of the steps given. 7. Reinstall rubber door boot around the door opening making sure you seat the rubber all the way around the groove. 8. Now comes the hard part - putting the retaining spring back in place. Position the tension spring at the six o'clock position and start inserting the hoop from the top first, working your way around to the 4 and 8 o'clock positions. The assistance of another person would be great right about now. Hold the hoop in place at the 4 and 8 o'clock positions, making sure you keep enough tension on the hoop to keep it seated in the groove. 9. Stretch the tension spring in order to snap the remainder of the hoop back into place. I know this may seem like a lot, but it is a fairly simple repair. I hope this helps you.
