According to the manual, "Lo" indicates weak batteries. Since you changed batteries, my next question would be... Did you buy fresh batteries at the store or use ones you had at the house? Check the freshness date on the battery package. Sometimes even some of the ones you get in stores aren't fresh enough.
Since you get enough power to get "Lo" reading, but not enough for anything else, this sounds like a battery problem. Did you check the contacts in the battery compartment? Sometimes cleaning them with a pencil eraser will help make better contact. Also, be sure the springs are tight enough. If they are the tab kind, you can bend them out a little for a tighter fit.
If all else fails, here is the contact page for Tanita: http://www.tanita.com/en/contact-customer-service/
They should stand behind their products.
Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,
Please make sure that you're using the LR6 AA sized batteries and also the terminals of the batteries are correctly inserted. Also make sure that the terminals of the battery compartment is clean without any obstacles or dirt. Also, try power reset and check if it helps.
Turn off the camera.
Remove the battery pack.
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Allow the camera to remain without power for 60 seconds.
Reinsert the battery pack.
Turn on the camera.
If the issue persists, try the factory resetting. SETUP MENU-->RESET ALL--> OK This should resolve the issue. Thanks for using FixYa.
As a first course of action I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector, let it sit for atleast 5mins. then reconnect it again. This will reset the system and can get it back to it's normal operation.
If the problem still persists, please try to use a different battery for it may be weak. If the fully charged battery still doesn't respond then the problem will be on the starter itself. If the starter is faulty it won't kick the flywheel which may cause the vehicle not to start.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
The power (On/Off) button is not responding probably because it is broken, the phone is dead, or the battery is dead or drained. Connect the phone to a charger and check whether the phone charges the battery or not. The power button is indeed not responding and broken when the phone charges the battery. The only way to turn on the phone is by replacing the power switch.
When the phone doesn't charge the battery, the phone may be dead or the battery is dead/drained. To revive the battery and verify whether the phone is dead or not, check it here.
Make sure that you are installing a fresh/ full charge battery Remove the memory card and the battery Clean the metal contacts on the battery using a clean cloth Use the camera w/o the memory card If problem still persist call the Tech Number
