Hi, you need to power off your mac, hold the power button for 10sec & than turn it on, while its coming on - on the grey screen you have hit the eject button a couple of times & as it starts up your cd/dvd will eject out. Its just a cd/dvd hang which does happen offen. So noting to worry unless your drive has some hardware issues. Trying doing this, if yet does not work we shall try a hardware test to figure out if all ok. Good luck.

If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LED flashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to identify the fault and possible fix :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3598095-faulty_laptop_lcd_screen

My cdram disk doesnt work properly?

If you're using Windows,

Try using SYSTEM RESTORE to go back to a date where you were able to use your computer normally.
- Just click START
- Type SYSTEM RESTORE on SEARCH PROGRAMS AND FILES Bar
- Hit ENTER and then just follow the steps.

You can also try deleting the upper and lower filters for the CD ROM. It's like resetting it.
Warning: Before using this fix you should backup the registry. This can be done by selecting File --> Export from within the registry editor

1. Go to START --> RUN --> Type REGEDIT and hit ENTER
2. Navigate to the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
3. In the right pane look for these 2 values - UpperFilter and LowerFilter.
4. Delete the UpperFilter key by right clicking on it and choosing Delete and OK.
5. Repeat step 4 for the LowerFilter key.
6. Exit the registry editor and restart the computer.

If this doesn't work, contact your manufacturer to have them check the unit for you especially if it's still in warranty. This may be a hardware issue and will be needing replacement.

Hope this helps.

Hello my friend,
The easy way to upload pictures to your computer is by taking out the memory card and inserting to your computer directly.
i guess that it's an SD card, so most of the new laptops has this slot. otherwise you can by all-in-one memory cards reader which is very cheap.

Burning Problem

The burning software that you're using is too old.

Try using a recent version of Nero (7 onwards) or Roxio to burn your DVD's.

2005 chevy trailblazer cd player won't eject cd

I have a 06 Z71 and it did the same thing so more than likely your just going to have to buy a new cd player. I would recommend going with an aftermarket cd player because you probably going to spend just as much on another stock unit.

take all of the add-on off the motherboard, i.e.; HHD, CDRAM, floppy drive, etc...
fire up the motherboard w/o the memories. it should give you indication as to what the motherboard condition.
if it ask for memories, then shunt down the machine, inser the meomories, and fire it up again. and so on. add each items one at a time till the machine not responding. that will be the item need to be replaced.

hope that helps.

QuickCam VC bought in 1999, have not used, now CDRam is out of date has Windows 95 I'm using XP professional

Logitech has not updated the drivers for Windows XP. If this is the "parallel port" version of the camera, it will probably only work on Windows 95/98/ME computers. If it has a USB connector, Windows XP may be able to recognize it without using the Logitech software.
