I am trying to return a item i purchase and you sent me approval but I am having trounlr getting folling the action to get a tracking number to send back the item.

Hello, You will have to call the cust services on the product for and return authorization. But if they send on approval you can just send it back too the address that sent too you without doing anything except writing refusal on it.

To whom did you send the camera? FixYa neither repairs nor replaces cameras. The reference number you gave is not a FixYa number. Please contact the party to whom you sent the camera to inquire about the status.

All the actions expect taking photos, are "jammed", nothing works. Also, when u turn the camera on, the zoom will go to its most extended position and won't return back.

The internal zoom switch is stuck in the extend position. Don't normally recommend opening the case, but in this case (pun intended) it's necessary. You'll only need to disassemble the camera enough to remove its front face. Please see this link. Only go as far as the 10th picture where the front face is removed, and as mentioned in the article, inspect that little copper plate to see if it's bent. Also read this concerning safety as there is a possibility of electrical shock.

Is an HP 4GB SDHC Memory Card compatible with my

No. it was designed in 2003 and sold from 2004 and this was long before SDHC cards became available.

The camera was only designed by Kyocera to take SD cards up to 2GB and only tested with them up to 1GB so there's no guarantee that it will actually work with 2GB cards. SD cards go up to a maximum 4GB but if it works with those it will be more by luck than design and you can certainly expect the camera functions to become painfully slow.

The lack of SDHC capability is a hardware limitation and so there is no way to resolve this with a firmware update; Kyocera never released any firmware updates for your model in any case.

I hope that you've found my reply to be of use and ask only that you return the favour by rating my answer.

Forgot password

I have the same problem. I think I can break the code because I think I know 2 of the numbers, but this camera is an accident waiting to happen like this because you think you're setting the time or something and it is the password and then you're screwed. I expect it will take me some time to figure out. If you don't know any of the numbers, I think there should be a possibility of 10,000 codes.

All Bushnell needs to do is to provide a unique code with each camera that can be used in this case to get back to the default "0000."

with the current configuration, I can guess there are hundreds, if not thousands, of useless cameras out there.

I sent in my camera photosmart M547 in October, I have a case number, 8018387806, when can I expect to have my camera back

You'll have to get that information from whomever you sent the camera to. FixYa has no way of tracking items sent to other people.

No.. someone sent me copies of photos of the mechanism. In my case, the little level that controls the aperature is not going back into place but no one seems to know how to take it apart and reset it. I will eventually take it apart very carefully (you know how springs just jump out at ya). When I do I will post it. Don't hold your breath right now as I'm recovering from surgery but I expect sometime towards the end of the month.

Hi there, please read this: The original service advisory was posted on the Sony Asia Pacific Support site. The Asia Pacific post lists all affected models in a concise format. On the Sony US website, the advisories are only listed on the support pages for each individual product. To see the information for your product, go to this page, enter your model number and click "Search" to find all relevant information. If your product is one of those listed above, you should see a link (probably dated 10/3/2005) under the "Product Alerts" section, titled "Important Notice about your Sony Product." Regardless, in the US, the story is the same (at least it is for all the products we checked): "From October 3, 2005 through October 2, 2007, Sony will repair, free of charge, affected products exhibiting the above-mentioned problem where it is caused by the image sensor device. Sony will also cover the cost of shipping and handling to service to correct this issue." No service forms or mailing addresses are provided on the Sony US site. Rather, owners are instructed to contact the Sony Customer Information Services Center for further assistance at 1-866-703-7669. For your easy reference, here is a link to the original IR news story on the Sony advisory, as well as one to the expanded Sony advisory IR news story. very important:
