Re: jvc rEAR PROJECTION
I would think something has got nock loose. The first thing i would look at inside is what is known as the dvi calble. this is short computer type cable that transfers vidio signal from signal processor to optics. this calble kinda looks like a short monitor cable.with screws

It sounds like you can have optical engine issue. That's if green tint was show up very gradually, until one day it really caught your attention.Normally some parts of the screen more green than other. It should get progressively worse. To solve this issue optical engine have to be replaced. It is pretty expensive repair if your TV is out of the warranty. In case if tint appeared suddenly in one moment - you can try to check component cable connection on the back of your TV if you are using one ( green, blue and red colored). Sometimes it's loose or after disconnection people reconnecting it in wrong way. Experienced tech will determine if optical engine is bad by running test patterns in special service mode. If green tint present on Grey scale - optical engine is bad. Sorry for bad news. Regards. Russ.
I've had this problem with my projection TV recently. I would say your lens/lamp is to blame. It might be time to change it, depends on the last time it was changed, most of the time, the TV will tell you that it needs to be changed, but not always. I think your best bet is the TV lamp.
Try resetting the TV by unplugging from wall outlet for 3 to5 minutes then plug back in. If no fixya take front grill off and panel and adjust the screen controls, turn color off adjust for Black & White Picture. Good Luck, big IRISH.
Roger, if your contrast (sometimes called picture) and brightness controls are at max you can increase the tubes brightness by turning the "screen control" clockwise, be advised a little turn goes a long ways, don`t crank it too far or you will get retrace lines, you will have to remove the back from the set and follow the red wire down from the tube to the "flyback transformer" on the front of the flyback are 2 controls, focus and screen, do not move the focus control, this should fix your problem.
