Question about Indesit 24 in. IDL500 Built-In Dishwasher

1 Answer

My indesit DI620 isnt rinsing the contents properly

All seems to be working ok, heats up, seems to drain, but seems to rinse the top shelf, in particular, with dirty water. The debris then sticks to the cups and glasses as it dries. they are quite heavily soiled.

I have tried plunging the drainage point, have checked the filters etc. Any ideas? The thing is, of course, 13 months old!!

Thanks guys.

Its the same water that rinses both sections just different arms, the one directly under the top basket usually cleans both cutlery and top basket. it could be a posibility that the arm itself is contaminated with waste that is too large to push through the holes and is now breaking up making a mess on teh glasses. (I have seen it before with melon seeds) remove the arm and rinse backward under a tap.
make sure that the salts are topped up as well this is very important if the salts run out you will not regenerate the resin beads which are used for water purification on the last rinse so this could also rinse with dirty water.

There is a drain plug and filter under the drum. You access it from the front by taking the panel under the door off. Get ready for lots of water to come out when you take the drain plug off. Clean out the area of the filter and drain plug.

WATER IS DRIPPING FROM THE TOP OF THE FRIG ONTO MY SHELFS. iM NOT SURE WHERE ITS COMING FROM. iT IS NOT THE ICE MAKER BECAUSE I SHUT THAT OFF. aNY SUGGESTIONS

Completely pullout the shelf and throw the water. Look for a clogged drain tubing inside the refrigerator. Often it is not unnoticeable because it is fill with water. Unclogged it by using flexible, solid wire or flexible bamboo stick, just long enough until it penetrate the bottom of the drain pan tubing.
When your already do it, rinse it with water (the drain tubing), throw the water on the drain pan and clean it. Wipe any wet with rags and you'll done.
I hope my suggestion help you.

Arms are clogged

You may have debris in the sprayer arm jets. It is usually simple to remove the sprayer arms. Then rinse them well using the sink sprayer for forceful water power. I have sometimes had to use a tweezer to remove bits of plastic, paper, bone, or food particles. Once you've remove the debris, rinse well forcing water through to dislodge any other debris. Once you've reattached the sprayer arms, you should have cleaner dishes. Also, some brands of dishwashers have a pipe that runs up the inside back wall and connects to a pipe that runs under the top shelf. Water flowing through this pipe under the top shelf propels the sprayer arms. If the connection at the back is not flush with the "propel" pipe there won't be enough water pressure to turn the sprayer arm. Check to see if your dishwasher has this type of set up.
I hope this works. If it does, please let Fixya know by rating my solution.
Good luck!
