go to the printer properties---there select printing preferences ---there select lexmaxk solution center-----in that option select printer cartridge replacement option----in that follow the replacement instructions.and select the cartridges.as it is new.and its proper appropriate number.then only it will print properly. selecting the cartridge is very much necessary.

  • smarttech Nov 21, 2008

as if you will not get the cartridges selected .the printer will not detect the new cartridges it will think that the cartridge in the printer is that same cartridge which was empty.so when you select the cartridges it will detect the cartridges as new and start printing.this selection is to be done when ever you replace the old cartridges and insert new cartridges.

If an alignment page does not print when the product is turned on or off, the issue is resolved. If an alignment page continues to print when the product is turned on or off, you should replace the cartridges with new HP cartridges. Continue to Step two: Remove the print cartridges. The Ink at the head of your Printer Cartridges has dried up.
Try this:

Load some plain paper in the printer

Remove the cartridges from the printer and carefully dab the print heads of the cartridges with a damp paper towel. ( when you start to see ink, the ink is starting to flow).

Replace the cartridges into the printer.

Go to:

Start
Control Panel
Printers
RIGHT click on this printer
choose Printing preferences
services
clean print cartridges 9some papers may print)
follow the instructions and do the heavier cleaning as well

Run the calibration function and allow the paper to print.

When trying to print or copy - the paper goes through the printer but there is nothing printed on the paper.

If you haven't printed anything for a long time, probably the cartridge nozzles are clogged and you'll probably need to buy new ones. To check if the nozzles are clogged, remove the cartridge from the printer and genly press the paper napkin on the print head for a few seconds. If the nozzles are clogged, nothing will remain on the napkin, otherwise, there should be some ink on it.
If you find your nozzles clogged, you can try to clean the cartridges (start the cleaning process from the printer driver). If this doesn't help you can try something, but only if you decided to throw the cartridges away, so you have nothing to loose: put the cartridge (with the head downside) into the hot water (but not boiling) and leave it for about ten minutes, then wipe them and put them back to the printer to try printing. Good luck!

No ink coming from cartridges.

Seems like a lot of people are all of a sudden having these problems. I have had this printer for 4 years I think and no problems at all. Phone support says to clean the heads 3 times and then they give up. By the way, there is no tape to remove from authentic ink cartridges for this printer. The cartridge holder pops a hole in the film. You cant pull that cover off, it is popped when inserted.

Ink and paper lights flashing red and I cannot print

No body wants to take it to repairs, we all hate spending money if it can be avoideded. Do't fret. First, i would bet you have a paper jam that you have missed. This would stop the carriage and head cleaning. Open up the cover as if replacing ink. Get a torch and really thoroughly check for tiny paper jams or ujo's(unidentified jamming objects)check where paper goes too. Now close cover turn off, unplug, all cables, replug, turn on, try printing now. Post back if no good. Cheers lilacgerry

No ink is coming from my ink cartridge?????

Hi, I find this problem occurs when the Print Head dries out. You can buy special cleaning fluid for this. Just google search for "epson 440 print head clean" You can clean the print head yourself with some warm water on a lint free cloth but this is quite messy.
