Water/Ice Dispenser is not working (by 5 users)

We just moved in Friday and our landlord has no idea why the water doesn't dispense and the ice isn't being made. I checked the water line from the wall and the water is flowing just fine...so the fridge is getting water. My landlord has removed the filter, but hasn't put a new one back in yet...I tried putting the old filter back in, but the water is still not dispensing. Any suggestions? Thanks

Ice maker Kenmore side by side fridge. Will make ice, will not dump ice into bin. Water line to ice maker is not frozen. There is no filter on the water dispenser leading to the icemaker.

My ice maker quit working the other day. I checked evrething out and found that thte gear on the ice dump were frozen. So i took it out and let it defrost,then put it all back.Now the ice dump is working but theres no water coming into the ice maker, but there is water coming out of the water despencer on the door is working.

The Ice machine works great but no water in the door. Replaced the filter even put the plug in and tried. No water to door. When we first changed the filter it worked for about two days.

cHECKED THE WATER SUPPLY AND CHECKED THE FILTER. tHE SOLENOID VALVE HUMS WHEN YOU CALL FOR WATER BUT NOTHING COMES OUT.

Some models need the filter inplace to pass water. First check it again with a new filter in just to be sure the filter isn't clogged. Next... do you hear any click or such noise from the rear of the unit when you push the water dispenser? The solenoid valves may be bad. Also check the valves at the back of the frige to see if the filter screen isn't clogged blocking water from getting into the frige all together. Let us know what you find and post again.

I have a new water line and adequate water pressure, but the water is not cold.

Also, no ice cubes. I suspect that the line is clogged to the ice tray.

How do I clean that line? Is there a filter beyond the upper connection in the rear of the refrig? If so, how do I acces it?

My water dispenser stopped working several times. The first time I called a repairman who used a hair dryer to unfreeze it. Last few times I have done it myself. Blow air around water dispenser outlet and inside where ice goes in the door dispenser for around ten minutes. It make take a few minutes after you stop running the dryer for it to thaw.

Switch the two water dispenser hoses behind the filter the repair man did it to mine and it works fine now

Could the water line be frozen from having left the fridge door open? Simply thawing the freezer may fix the problem.
