Question about BenQ Scan to Web 4300U Flatbed Scanner
I was using this scanner under MS office but now we have Linux and have downloaded BenQ 4300U.exe but under Linux it is not working. It needs a .pdd extension file. What should I do?
It depends on what linux distribution your are using. I run SuSe 10.3 and there is a solution for that, but it's in Spanish. Link to http://miaportealinux.blogspot.com/2007/07/instalar-firmware-scanner-benq-4300-en.html and while in there, look for a link that says "aqui", click there and a pdf document will appear explaining how to install the firmware. It worked for me just fine! Remember, in Linux, the scanner program is called "sane" or "xsane", there is no "Mirascan" or "scan button".
