I can tell you.You might have to clean the back metal strips on your Ds game or game Pak.Also the game pak's internal battery has runned dry.Use a cutip to clean inside (works on Ds games)Turn on and off the Ds muiltiples off times and it should have work.I tried it and it worked.
This is a common problem on the DS Lite. It needs to be fixed and I know for sure you can't fix it because it needs to be taken apart. Trust me, working on the DS Lite is very tricky, otherwise I would have told you what to replace and how.
Have you checked to see if any of the contacts in the actual console seem to be faulty?
If the problem is just with DS games, have a check by inserting a GBA game into the other side and see if it recognises it. That should tell you where the problem is. If there's a small bit of dust covering one of the contacts in the console, just blow into it a little and see if it comes free.
okay: do not worry this is not a problem the the slot 2 cartridge is not a game and therefore cannot be played :) so there is nothing wrong with it. you can trust me on this one, I have one of these. The only thing this bottom cartridge is, is kind of like an adapter to connect to the computer. you should have recieved a usb cable that goes along with the cartridge. when your ds is turned off, you can connect the usb side of the cable to your computer, and the other side to the bottom cartridge, ( note that you should also have the slot 1 card in the top game slot while doing this ) then turn on your ds, and click on the the top game (not the option pack) then it should give you the option to go to usb mode. im sorry if i made this seem too complex, but you can email me at email@example.com for more help, if you'd like :)
