Question about HP PSC 2410 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

Cycle Power I recently had to take my machine apart and now when I plug in the machine, I receive the error message "cycle power". I found a power cord dislodged and reconnected, but no luck. I even tried the # + 6 reboot. Any ideas?

Samsung CLP-315 color laser printer Haven't used it for a couple months. Tried last night, got "system error" message. It said to cycle power. Tried that 5 times alst night, no joy. Left...

When you cycled the power, did you just push the power button?

If so, to really do a power cycle you need to unplug, let sit off for 30 seconds, then plug back in.

Model c6180 printer gives improper shutdown error

The printer is not getting enough power. When you get this error message it means the printer is being turned off by unplugging the power cord. In this case it maybe that the printer is not getting enough power due to being in a surge protector or perhaps the power module is no longer holding power correctly.
First step is to disconnect printer from any power strip, surge protector, or extension cords and plug in so directly to the wall. If printer still will not stop looping cycle you may need to contact hp for a new power module.

HP 6110 error message "clear carriage jam"

No one from "FixYa" provided me any useful solutions to try. Following the HP reset instructions many cycles did not work. By accident, I finally got the HP 6110 working again by unplugging it from the Monster brand surge protector power strip, depowering both for a period of about one hour, then repowering the power strip, then plugging in the HP 6110 and going through its reset function once more. Plugging the HP 6110 directly into the wall outlet into which the power strip was/is plugged did not solve the problem. Note that gremlins in that same power strip also adversely affected my ZyXel DSL modem, or perhaps spurious backfeed signals from that DSL modem affected the HP unit. Sorry, I'm not able to provided any explanations as to why this worked; I am not a digital/PC'electronics person. I was about to tear the machine apart to clean all the surfaces and mirrors as others had recommended, or buy a replacement.

Fax and cancel lights are flashing

I found this solution at HP website. It worked for me. Good luck!

A Scanner Bulb Error message is received as a result of the HP LaserJet 3300mfp series product scanner’s inability to find the home reference point.
Perform the following steps to walk the scan assembly from the home base and resolve the issue.
1. Remove and replace the power cord from the unit.
2. Wait approximately 35 seconds for the scanning assembly to “walk out" and then quickly remove the plug again.
3. Repeat steps 1 and 2, three to four times until the head moves approximately 1 inch away from its normal resting place.
4. Replace the plug and let the product fully finish the boot cycle.

Scanner failure

I understand that you are receiving Scanner failure error.

Please follow the below given instructions to get the issue resolved.

Please remove the All-in-One Printer from the Power Surge Protector and plug it directly into a wall Power outlet, as the surge protector may not provide enough power to printer.

Let us power cycle your All-in-one to remove any static electricity in your All-in-one.

Please perform the step given below to power cycle the unit after removing the print cartridges from the printer:

1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from power and disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Plug in the power only
4. Repeat steps 2-3 two more times.
5. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect the USB cable from the all-in-one to your computer.

Please try installing the below patch and check for the result:

Just copy and paste the entire link into the Internet browser's address bar and press enter

If the issue persists, try resetting the All-in-one to factory defaults by following the below given instructions:

A semi-full reset will do the following:
The user settings to the factory defaults, Language and country settings on some models, Fax logs, Fax headers, Fax speed dial information.

Reset the All-in-One to the factory default settings by using these instructions:

1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on.

2. Press and hold Cancel and the Right Arrow while plugging in the power cord.

Continue holding until it displays S Full Reset message in the front panel of the All-in-One.
This should resolve the issue.

Error message on screen E000001-0002

E000001-0002 refers to the fuser assy either getting to hot or not hot enough. Fuser error codes cannot be reset by power cycling the machine even though that is what the display tells you to do. In order to reset the fuser error code you must enter the service mode & reset the code. To enter the service mode: press"Additional Functions" button (looks like a picture of a head with a star inside) press the #2 and #8 at the same time (simultaneousley) press "additional functions" again The display should show a choice of copier, feeder, sorter, fax,or board service modes Select copier select clear select ERR press OK Turn power off & back on. ****IMPORTANT**** After clearing error stay at the machine to see if it comes to ready. The fuser assy can reach 139 degrees C.(Water boils @ 100C) The error can only be cleared through the service mode because a technician should inspect the fuser to verify there is nothing faulty that could possibly start a fire. If you enter the service mode & clear the error, power cycle the machine & during warm up the machine throws a code again- turn it off, unplug it & call a tech for fuser repair. Good Luck!! I can be reached @ if you have any questions.
