Question about Zanussi Washing Machines

Door rubber for Zanussi Jetstream Excel 1200

Had to take the door rubber off to clean the drum. The door rubber is a right sod to get back on - I can get it on without the spring retainer but then can't get the spring on. Seems impossible to get rubber + spring on at the same time.

Thanks for any help.

Hi.
It is a sod to get the spring on .
Make sure the rubber is on securely, and then gradually feed the spring round the rubber starting at the top.

It will get more difficult the further round you get, If you can get someone to hold the spring for you when part way round, you will get it on.
You can also try stretching the spring, which will make it easier to get on .

Good luck.
