I have rewired them once, it's a very precisely job, but possible. Use superglue to fixate the wire. Mine were dammaged, not burned, but the wire just got loose.

Go here and find a nice substitute. Many to choose from and it may be better to purchase a pair of them rather than have mis-matched ones. They should be inexpensive enough for you, as low as $2 up to $480. You just need the size of the mounting hole to find a replacement though.

Mackie srm 350 tweeter is dead cannot find any UK parts servicesa that will provide either a new diaphragm/coil ot even the whole tweeter

Hi,
I found that Stan at Surrey amps was able to supply a tweeter for a srm 350. But you need to let him have the full part number on the tweeter as it seems they have changed the design on the tweeter at one point ( or more ) in the manufacture.

Midrange and tweeter driver not hit the the high range.

Are u sure u haven't messed up with the polarity of the speakers while rewiring the speakers? If all is ok and only u find that the speakers are not so vibrant as the other there cud be a possibility that the coil has shifted inside the magnet and is either scratching or not aligned. Also hav a look at the crossover

Blown kef q55.2 tweeter, is replacement possible?

The tweater on my Q55.2 blew as well. I went into a shop in NYC and they tried to charge me $225 for a new tweater, so I took it home and called up Kef. They sent me out a new tweater for $35 and instructions on how to solder it in.
It took all of 10 mins to replace and they are working fine. I've never soldered anything before and it was simple.
Cheers

Replacement tweeters for Eyris 1

If any new readers are seeking the same advice, then as at Feb 2016, replacements are available from Real Electronics in the UK, 08452 307 747 - this info from the service line at Tannoy. £63.21 + VAT + delivery. Part no 7900 0621

Much of the advice above is not applicable to the Eyris, folks seem to be posting generic solutions.

Unbolt the hex bolts at the rear of the tweeter assembly. With a screwdriver or similar, push the threaded rods forward to move the front portion of the tweeter housing free from the cabinet. The amount of flexibility in the cables may vary, and some users may have to remove the terminal block (hex bolts again) on the rear, and remove the acoustic wadding to gain flex in the cables.

There are three terminals on the tweeter, with push-fit spade connections. Green for Earth, red/black for signal. Disconnect these, pull tweeter forward, remove threaded rods.

Reassembly is the reversal of removal. Ensure all cables go in same places, etc. etc.

Kef Q Series iQ1 problem

You may have broken the cross over, which is fixable by an service agent, or you may have damaged the voice coil in the mid driver. you can check this by sofly pushing the main driver in, making sure that you done push the cone, if there is a lot of resistance then you have damaged the voice coil, and you will need to replace the driver.
