Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router

1 Answer

Unable to connect to a website

Hi
I have Linksys Wireless -G Broadband router WRT54G for about 2 years -has been fantastic. Since last Friday I have been unable to access any website that has as part of its address qcotton.com.au- I use these websites close to everyday. Everyone else can access them without issue & so can I if i disconnect the router & plug directly into my cable modem. I have tried switching it off & waiting 30 sec before turning back on but that has not worked.
Are you able to provide instructions on how to fix? Every other website I have tried works without issue.
Thank you
Kind regards Nigel

Greetings Nigel my name is Mark and I will be glad to assist you. We need to try something first try switching your computer ports at the router if this does not work do this procedure. Open your internet explorer and go to the site you are trying to connect with then goto tools then go to internet options.click on the security tab and then click on "Trusted Sites" there is a button that says "sites" click on that then there is a setion where you can type your sites address do this and click on add, exit out and click on the restricted sites and make sure your site is not there if it is remove it. If this still does not work go back to internet options and delete the browsing history and all temporary internet files. If these things do not work please write back and we can try further actions.
Be mucho blessed,
Mark

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Connectivity

Hi Joe,

That just depends on how you want to connect with your laptop.
If you need wireless access, then you have to use the WRT54G, because the RT31P2 has no wireless capabilities.
If you are connected via ethernet cable, then you can simply take the WRT54G out.

If you like to read up on different scenarios, here is my favorite page.

Enjoy!
