We need more info; Like what type of signal you intend to amplify, what speakers, any processing you might be doing to the signal, etc. Without a large amount of internal modification, these amps are really not going to work this way due to bridge instability.Failure due to this instability Will result in thermal runaway, and resultant component destruction..

Where can I get peavey replacement parts for sp4 speakers? Need to replace the internal board.

The internal board is the crossover. Your best bet is to contact Peavey directly. Call them up and select the service department. You can purchase parts directly from them. Have both the model (SP4) and serial number. Because the series has been around for a while, there are slight differences in the crossovers (may not be the case for the SP4, bt was for the SP2 series). The serial number will incidate the "run" and insure that you get the proper parts.

Caused speakers to smoke:(

If it's the speaker cabinet itself that';s smoking, you have most likely burnt some components in the passive crossover. Pull it out and you may see melted parts or scorching on the circuit board. Peavy does repairs on it's own products pretty reasonably if there's no local tech. Call Peavey Customer Srervice at 877-732-8391.

My peavey ul 115 bass bin will only work through its bi amp input. Why is this ?. The other one works fine but when I switch speakers I have the same problem. Can you help please ?..Thank you.

The bi-amp jacks bypass the internal crossover. You need to look at the crossover section and see if an internal protection fuse has blown or if hte crossover itself is smoked.

Blown crossover

Sounds like the crossover is smoked. Unusual, but it happens. Just call a Peavey service center for the part number and you should be able to order direct from Peavey. If you have problems getting the number, let me know and I'll try and get it for you.

Blown crossover in a Peavey Pro-Sub 15" speaker cab. Can this be repaired? If not, where can I get a new crossover? I went to Peavey's web site and this particular crossover isn't on there.

Yes it can be repaired. Your best bet is to locate an authorized Peavey service center and order the crossover from there. Most will sell the replacement crossover directly. The cost of the individual parts will not be significantly less than the entire module. Are you sure that it is the crossover that is smoked? It is unusual for the crossovers to go bad. What is the symtom of the speaker failure?

My Peavey Impulse 200 speaker is intermittant. Horn works fine.

There is a switched speakon plug in there (bi-amp socket).
The switch connection can go intermittent. Take the back panel of and solder links from +1 to 1+n, 1- to 1-n, 2+ to 2+n and 2- to 2-n. That often fixes it, but you lose the bi-amp capability (which hardly anyone uses)

Hi fingers 1

There will be some overlap in bass response that you may need to tune out to tone down the boomy bits. You could tune this out with a 31 band EQ Another approach is to use a crossover or low pass filter to the subs to get some control over your bass frequencies. Another thought, if you're using the rig for stage work, how does it sound out the front. It may be standing waves created by the bass bins, moving them to different monitoring positions may also help.

I am more than happy to answer any other questions you may have about it, just give me a hoy :) If you are still unsure, or have problems, then before you give a rating for this advice, please get back to me and we can try some more things.

Two amp

I don't know why you'd set the Peavey to 2 ohm to drive 8 ohm speakers??? My other thought is... I wonder if the phase is correct. try reversing one of the speaker wires Left or right side.
