I struggled with this looking for options in the menus. Eventually I realised that the volume buttons on the side of the phone control both the handset speaker and the speakerphone speaker levels - selecting Outdoor profile does not alter it - it is fine now I have turned it up using those buttons.

Ifthe volume level is normal using headphones, so clean the speaker side gently with a toothbrush. At times some dust could clog the little holes.

Sound is not working on tour9630

Internal speaker sound volume is controlled by the rocker switch on the right side - directly below the headset jack. This will control both the private listening mode volume level and the volume of speaker when Speakerphone (or MP3 audio) is selected. The speakerphone mode is toggled on and off by pressing the "$" key (to the right of the "M" key).

Ringer volume is controlled by first selecting one of the seven customizable profiles under the speaker icon on the top left of the screen (below the battery gauge). Move the cursor to highlight the speaker icon and press the track ball. Choose the desired profile: Normal, Loud, Medium, Vibrate Only, Silent, Phone calls Only or All Alerts Off. Repeat the process - but this time scroll all the way past the profile list - and choose "Edit Profiles" instead. Here you can select the profiles one by one (or even add a new one) to customize them to your liking. You decide the sound, volume, etc for all the alerts for each profile. It provides a huge amount of customizing choices.

Finally, you can freely download the 314 page Blackberry Tour 9630 User Guide to learn about all the functions and tips using the phone.

Please rate my reply if it was helpful. Thanks and good luck!

either the phone is in the silent mode or the loud speaker is not working. For the silent mode go to profile, select the profile you are using and then increase the volume and activate the outdoor mode

Where is the ringtone volume adjustment for the Nokia N73? Thanks

Hello !

Look in Profiles -General - Options - Personalise - Ringing volume.
You will have to set the volume and Ringing tone for every profile ( General,Meeting,Outdoor.... ).
You can find Profiles in Menu - Tools - Profiles.
Good luck !

My ringing volume is very low i have tried advanced profiles and put all setting on high however its still very low i can hardly hear it.

I have the same issue. It is a manufacturing fault. The fix with mine was to fold up a gum wrapper and place it over the camera flash, and re-fit the back cover. It may take some fiddling around as too much pressure will cause it to go low in volume again. another solution would be to place a dab of glue around the camera flash and let it dry before replacing the back cover. In the end, you just want to applie a slight pressure to the camera lens / flash area. Hope this helps

I have N73 and its very powerful in sound but I am struggling to hear the caller

you have 2 speakers. 1 ear speaker for calls and 2nd one for ringer, MP3, loudspeaker etc. Make sure your ear speaker volume is all the way up, nothing in the way ( dirt - make up - metal shavings etc ). If all is good have your ear speaker replaced.

I have a NOKIA 2610b go phone, How do you turn up the volume on the ringer?

I've worked in the cell phone industry for many years. The big Nokia phones is that most of them never ring very loud. The have a history or blown speakers when they have loud ringers.
Try going under Profiles and changing the ring to outdoors. that will make it ring louder but probably still not loud enough

Ringer or speaker problem

hold the phone in your hand while it is open. press the silver button on the right side of the phone. with the dircetion keys on your keypad scroll down to profiles. press button in the middle of the direction keys to select. Then you can select outdoors, normal etc. if it is in meeting mode you will vibrate. If you are in outdoors or some other profile you may need to go into the profile to do this use your options button and select edit then you will see your setting and can adjust the volume of the ring etc .

How do I increase my ring tone volume on my Moto Razor .?

You can set the length of your incoming ring to in the Call forwarding portion of the phone. Usually, it is set to 25 seconds. It can go as high as 30 seconds. To set the ringer to be longer or shorter, it goes by 5,10,15,... set of 5 increments. up to 30.
I would also recommend to use a factory set ringtone, set the profile to LOUD or OUTDOORS. With vibrate option on. Some downloaded ringtones don't play as loud.
