Place both photos on the glass and scan, in the scanned image drag a select box around one photo, select "cut" and paste as new image and save. Repeat with second picture

When scanning a photo the colour green doesnt come through on the scanned image

Hi,
Are you printing a scanned photo image, if so make sure your printer cartridge is o.k. If it is then the problem is more than likely a software error, if you have the original disc delete and re-install the software or go to manufacturers website and download updated software which is usually free.

How do you enlarge scanned images on a HP G3110 scanner?

Find the file you scanned and click on it.Windows picture and fax viewer will open it,bottom right corner is a picture with a paintbrush across it.Open it,and it will open in Paint. If you don't have paint, use http://www.gimp.org/
a Free photo editor.Right click your scanned image and in the pop up is "edit with Gimp"? I use this all the time to pick a "Window" out of a photo and enlarge or shrink it.Works for me!

When I scan colour slides the image gets cropped

Uncheck the option that says "Thumbnail" and draw individual marquees for the area on the slide you want to scan. Not very elegant but it works.

The scanner copies three photos as one

Assuming you're using the Epson Scan software, select Home or Professional mode and click Preview. When the preview image appears, draw a marquee around each of the three photos. (Note that as you draw each marquee the number beneath the little image of a marquee - the white square with the dotted line around it - increases.) After drawing your marquees, click the All button, then click Scan. The scanner should make three separate passes in succession, producing three separate images.

Try just using the epson scan utility

1. Launch Epson Scan by going into your HARD DRIVE, APPLICATIONS, and EPSON SCAN.
2. If prompted, select your scanner from the list of models and click OK.
3. In the FILE SAVE SETTINGS window, you can designate the location, name and type of file the scans will be saved as.

-LOCATION defaults to HD/USERS/(YOUR USER NAME)/PICTURES. Click CHOOSE if you wish to change this.
-PREFIX determines how the scan will be named. Type any name you like. You can also designate a start number.
-FILE TYPE dictates what format the scans will be saved in. ie. .JPG, .TIFF, .PDF, or .PICT)
-For example: if the prefix is "img", the start number is "1", and the format is "JPG", the name of the file saved in
PICTURES will be "IMG001.JPG"
4. Click OK once settings are changed as desired.
5. The EPSON SCAN window will open and begin scanning in FULL AUTO MODE. In FULL AUTO MODE the software makes all the decisions for you (as to what is being scanned, where it is on the flatbed, etc). This is the easiest way to scan.
6. If you want full control over the scanning process click PAUSE and change FULL AUTO MODE to HOME MODE or PROFESSIONAL MODE. In the latter two modes you can change your scan settings as desired. Click SCAN after you have selected your settings. Click CLOSE once the EPSON SCAN is finished scanning.
7. When scanning is complete, your images will be saved in the location specified on FILE SAVE SETTINGS, with the prefix and in the format you set.

On preview & scanning I get total red colour image

If you have loaded Adobe 8.X Reader, then unload it, and go to Adobe site and load Adobe 7.02 Reader. Problem will probably go away. Mine did, I can now scan in color again.

Setting the format of the picture i scan

Ok I am not sure why ya scanner won't save in JPEG .. however converting the files to JPEG is relitively "Simple". After saving the Scanned picture.. Open it up in say MS Paint, Painshop etc, then simply choose "Save As.." from the File Menu, and save it as a NEW image file this time with a JPEG extension. IE: origional... picture.png or picture.bmp ... save as ...picture.jpg .. ya should be good to go. :)
