You cannot make a copy if you are thinking of it like a photocopier. It doesn't have a scanner built into it . If this is what you are thinking there are several quite excellent scanners out there fairly cheap. The scanner will come with software that will make it and the printer behave like a photocopier. The scanner we use at home even has a button that we just press to scan and print a copy as well as software that gives more options.
If you want to just print multiple copies of the page then this you can do. You just have to go to print options on a program menu and tell it to print the page how many times you need. You can also change the number on the printer driver but if you don;t set it back after everything after is going to print a few extra copies.
If problem happen when you're making a copy, make sure the scanner glass for the document feeder or the scanner bed are squeaky clean. Use a soft cloth to wipe the scanner glass.
If problem happens when printing from your computer, try to clean the cartridge nozzles. On printer operator panel, press the Setup button > Maintenance > Clean Cartridges, press OK. Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them.
Try to print again.
Follow these steps to make it work...
TIP: Focus on the printer it self. make sure that it can copy (b&w and color) fine.
If your done reseting the printer go to the next step
Solution #2 Clean the All-in-One and make a blank copy
Before you begin, gather the following materials:
Several clean, soft, lint-free cloths
Mild glass cleaner
Step one: Clean the scanner glass and lid
Press the power Button to turn off the product, and disconnect the power chord at the back of the printer.
Open the scanner lid, and remove any originals from the scanner glass.
Spray a clean, soft, lint-free cloth with mild glass cleaner.
Wipe the scanner glass and the white underside of the scanner lid with the dampened cloth.
Step two: Clean the automatic document feeder ADF
If the product is not already off, press the Power button to turn off the product, and disconnect the power cord from the product.
Locate the ADF frame to the left of the white underside of the scanner lid.
Press the ADF frame release.
Unhook and remove the ADF frame.
Lightly dampen a clean, soft, lint-free cloth with a mild glass cleaner.
Use the dampened cloth to clean both sides of the transparent film, and the white strip in the center of the ADF frame.
Clean the ADF frame.
Re-Install the ADF Frame
Step three: Make a blank copy
Remove any originals from the scanner glass.
Load plain white paper in the input tray.
Press Start Copy Black to make a blank copy.
If the copy is clean, there is no need to continue troubleshooting.
If the copy has vertical bands, lines, or streaks, there might be dust inside the product, poor internal connections, or the product might be damaged. Contact HP's Printers support department @ 1-800-474-6836

Good luck! :)
No, that should not affect the printer, but I would suggest reinstalling your drivers for the printer. And make sure your cables are nice and snug and plugged in properly. Sometimes it doesn't work if a cable is loose. Also, try to print something without using the computer. Does your printer have a scanner? If it does, you can copy something and print it out, that will let you know the printer is ok and it could be a driver problem on the computer. And when you go to print make sure that printer is the one selected to print, because sometimes there is more than one printer option. Hope this helps. Cheers.
As you are using HP officejet 5610 printer, so perform the following steps on the printer to print a self test report to check the functionality of the printer.
Press Setup on the
All-in-One then Press 2 then press 6.
If you are unable to perform the above steps, then try to make a copy using the scanner glass ( By placing a text document face down on the scanner glass and then press color copy button.).
If the printer make a copy or prints the self test page, then it confirms that the printer is working fine.
The issue could be with the software side. However, if the printer again prints the blank page, when you try to make a copy or printing a self test, then the issue is with the print cartridges.
Be sure that you are using the Hp genuine ink cartridges not refiled nor re-manufacture. Check the expiry date printed on both the print cartridges.
If all are correct, then perform the below steps to clean the print cartridges.
1. Using a clean, dry lint-free cloth (a coffee filter works well), wipe the cartridges , from the top to the bottom. 2. The contact area of the cartridge should be rubbed briskly to remove the waxy lubricant material from the gold contacts. 3. The contacts inside the printer may also require cleaning. Using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth, gently wipe the contacts, from the top to the bottom.
Then perform the below steps to power cycle the All-in-One unit.
1. Verify that the unit is switched on. Disconnect power cable from All-in-One
and also from wall outlet. 2. Wait 30 seconds. 3. Plug in the power cable
to All-in-One and also to wall outlet.
Then insert the print cartridges and try to make a copy and check for the result.
Please revert back to me if the issue occurs again.
I'm not sure what you mean by not printing, is it trying to print but only blank pages?
Make sure its on and the "!" is off.
Try copying first using the unit itself since this is an all in one printer. If it prints then we know its working.
If scanner is not working you can try printing without using the scanner featured on the unit. press on the setup button use the left or right arrow repeatedly and select on nozzle check then press on the color button.
If it prints but the pattern is incomplete (gaps or breaks on the lines) you can try head cleaning.
Press setup use the arrow left or right repeatedly and select on head cleaning then press on the color button then it will clean it.
Make sure that everytime you clean it you have to print on a nozzle check so that you will know that it prints properly.
If there are no gaps or breaks on the lines print on a document or picture it will give you good printouts
