Question about Epson Stylus 680 InkJet Color Printer

Epson RX680 4x6 prints:Paper doesn't stay still while feeding

I just purchased an Epson All-in-one printer (RX680)and started printing on 4x6 premium semi-gloss paper. The problem isn't getting the printer to print, the problem is actually while its printing. There aren't any bands or whatnot- it simply won't stay still. The image is held in place for 3/4 of the process, but when it reaches the last bit (and I watch it come out of the feed so I see it happening) it's shifted and paper is no longer secure as it's printing. Thus the last parts of my photos are all runny ink. :( Help!

Exactly the same. 4x6 glossy paper slips out of place on the last inch of so of the printer passes and ink is smeared everywhere.

SOURCE: epson stylus pohoto 830u paper feed

I'm afraid this series of printer (810 -830) doesn't handle heavy photo paper well - which is a bit strange for a so-called photo printer. If you hold each sheet and help it to feed it will work. But ...... for goodness sake. Your best bet is to sell it on e-bay and buy something that will handle heavy paper.

SOURCE: label paper will no longer feed

Most likely some of the gum (or even part of a label) has stuck to the inside of the paper feed mech. It all depends on where it is. You could try giving the inside of the feed hopper a good scrub with alcohol wipes or similar, reaching in with your fingers or using a wooden stick. I have successfully used this method on this same issue several times in the past.

SOURCE: paper will not load into my Epson PHOTO R340 printer.

May be the problem is at paper sensor, that dirty. The sensor is at bottom of head casing. When paper feeding, the sensor not get the light back, so the printer "think" that no paper. Try to clean paper sensor.

SOURCE: epson c90 paper feed problem

Is the message general error? The problem is tchip. When turn on chip is recognized by printer, but when start to print, printer "read" some information from the chip. Here is the error. Some pin at the chip for redaing the existence of chip, other pin for reading the information. Check connector between chip and carriage.

Paper not feeding for epson nx400

Check the following:

  • If paper doesn't feed, remove it from the sheet feeder. Reload it against the right side, behind the tab, then press in the tab on the edge guide and slide it against the paper. Make sure the paper is not above the arrow mark inside the edge guide.

  • If multiple pages feed at once, remove the paper from the sheet feeder, fan the edges to separate the sheets, then reload it.

  • If the paper doesn't eject fully, you may have set the wrong paper size. Press the c:\users\home\appdata\local\temp\msohtmlclip1\01\clip_image001.gif Stop button, then open the scanner and remove the paper. Select the correct paper size when you reprint.

  • If it's wrinkled when it ejects, the paper may be damp or too thin. Load new paper.

  • Make sure you use new, smooth, high-quality paper, that is not curled, creased, old, or too thin. Make sure to load it printable side up.

  • Do not load paper with holes punched in it for insertion in a binder.

  • Make sure you load only up to the recommended number of sheets. If you're printing on both sides of the paper, try loading fewer sheets.

If the paper jams, do the following:

1. Gently pull any jammed paper out from the output tray or sheet feeder.

2. To eject the jammed paper, try turning the Epson Stylus NX400 off and then back on.

If that doesn't work and paper is stuck inside, turn off the Epson Stylus NX400. Open the scanner, remove the jammed paper and torn pieces, close the scanner, and turn the Epson Stylus NX400 back on.

The card is probably too thick. Try cleaning the feed roller in the Sheet feeder to improve its grip. Check the GSM of the paper is within the spec of the printer.
