HOW TO INCREASE THE RAM PERFOMANCE?

  1. To speed up your windows or to increase RAM virtually,
    Right click on My Computer
    >> Properties
    >> Advanced
    >> Performance - Settings
    >> Advanced
    >> Virtual Memory - Change
Keep the initial size same as recommended and maximum size double of it then restart your system.
It will improve speed of windows and you can play some games which require higher RAM

Thank you for your help so far you guys are wonderful, thank you once again. But still one solution I never known what to do exactly,: I have two memory DIMM slots and both are purple colored . I have...

Most likely the two memory sticks are not compatible. I would suggest using two identical sticks. This is critical if you are trying to use dual-channel.
I always try to do this except in older systems where it really doesn't matter and I'm only trying to get a client's computer up and running.

I increased memory from 512 to 768 on Dell desktop with 2.4 celeron but did'nt seem to increase speed.what is the problem? Ray.

That minimal amount of increase is not going to be a very noticeable increase also the processor or a faster RPM hard drive is more for the speed. you can go to the system properties in control panel and then the advanced tab and then the settings tab on performance then to the Advanced Tab then to change tab in virtual memory then to custom size make the initial setting 1.5 times the amount of memory installed in your case 768 x 1.5 = 1152
on the max 3 x the amount of memory again, in you case 768
768 x 3 = 2304

Will This Cpu fit my computer?

You can put the cpu in, its the same socket and the same pin as that one you have now. But you will probably not be able to use the 800Ghz fully since it is the motherboard who sets the buz speed and the cpu you using now haz the speed of 533Ghz.
About the RAM, you can have maximum 2GB of memory on that motherboard, thats all it supports. The momory type you can use is DDR PC2100/PC1600

Motherboard for gt4022

You do not neccesarily have to use an exact replacement although that usually makes the replacement easier. As long as the specifications of the existing motherboard and the replacemant board are exact in some ways, especially processor socket type, memory speed and type and maximum allowable size per memory slot. Here is a link to what should be your existing motherboard, it this is the one installed, you will have some guidelines for a replacement.http://support.gateway.com/s/MOTHERBD/FIC/105553/105553sp26.shtml

Memory upgrade

I like all the information you gave. However the information you are looking for is in the manufactures web site. goto search engine and enter your computers manufactures name followed by the word "support" find the site and then look up the details for your computer. The reason I say this is because each slot can only control a certain amount of memory. The manufacture will tell you what each slot can control and also the type of memory supported by your motherboard. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT> never mix memory. Make sure of speed and capacity. If you mix diffrent speed and capacities the results could end in total failure.
