Replaced toner cartage and now it is throwing toner on my copies
My machine is a XEROX WorkCentre XD130f. I purchase a xerox replacement cartage from inkjet super store on line. I thought maybe I got a bad one so they sent me a second one and I am still having the same problem. My machine was given to me and I didn't get a manual. I have cleaned up the toner and gotten clean copies only to have the machine throw toner again. Is there something I can try.

1. turn off XD125f 2. Turn on 3. within 4 seconds press, clear, auto, clear, auto. LED Should go blank, if not try again 4. use copy quantity keys to enter 24, then push start 5. Again use copy quantity keys to enter 7, then push start 6. turn off when you restart the cartridge count will be set to zero
I have done this twice and never replaced the drum cartridge.
i have the same problem too with my pe220. fortunately, i just purchased a new one which i planned to give to it to a relative, and I was able to figure out that the cause of the "function impossible" displayed. the problem just occured this morning and I have tried downloading and updating the firmware too, clearing the memories, etc but cannot get the copier to work (can't print thru the pc also).
i then borrowed the new toner cartridge of the new pe220 and installed on my old one and i was able to print and copy again. the problem then is due to the chip memory.
the problem now is how to reset the serial eeprom chip in order to reuse the toner cartridge again. hope this helps.
I would think you just have another bad cartridge. have you simply tried shaking it side to side? May just be built up on one side, but those cartridges are notorious for going bad. You need to vacuum the machine out well also. That toner and developer get in all those little plastic supports and can cause toner to dump.I would say the chance of a bad cartridge again is about 95 percent.
The printing problem. Have you tried downloading the driver from the Xerox.com site? Or simply reloading the driver. Sounds like its corrupted somehow. And when you change the tray, you are clicking apply?
that is the message for low or out of toner. What you are doing by tapping it is just lostening the reemaining ink in the cartridge. If the cartridge is new, have it replaced where ever you purchased it because most likely its defective.
your toner has nothing to do with sending/receiving faxes. If you can print to the xerox...something is wrong with the software.. delete and re-install software..Xerox website is useless check the black sensor that dangles into the paper tray. wiggle it up and down, ahten resintalled the tray
