If you want to tackle something like this yourself, I'd suggest picking up a used LCD on Ebay, or somewhere similar. They are not all that bad to replace. Should take you a couple of hours,or so. If you need a maintenance manual, let me know and I'll point you to one.
Have a super day!

Password crack os reset

Your best option is to reinstall Windows at this point. However, if for some reason this is not an option, I'd have a go at Ophcrack--it's pretty decent at cracking NTLM hashes. If you don't mind resetting the password, you can try what I always do in this scenario:

1. Make a linux boot disk (I like Knoppix for this)
2. Boot up the computer, boot off the linux USB or CD
3. Mount the Windows NTFS partition
4. Rename C:\WINDOWS\System32\sethc.exe to C:\WINDOWS\System32\sethc_old.exe
5. Copy C:\WINDOWS\System32\cmd.exe to C:\WINDOWS\System32\sethc.exe
6. Reboot Computer

Once you've done these 6 steps, hit the SHIFT key 5 times for a command prompt. This works even at the login screen. If you want, type "start explorer.exe" into the command prompt and it gives you a start menu. Beware, though, Windows will take notice and kick you off after about 5 minutes if you're not fast enough at resetting the password. ;-)

I have no sound in my computer bt it shows dat its working all the drivers are updated

Just any Ol' Lenovo Notebook PC motherboard?

If you want the solution to your problem, I need the info off of the bottom of the laptop.

Using Lenovo ThinkPad T61 6458-GW4 as an example;

Lenovo = Manufacturer (IBM)
ThinkPad = Series
T61 = Subseries
6458 = Machine Type
GW4 = Model

I will then find the Drivers download page for YOUR Lenovo, and the Audio driver.

Don't care what Device Manager states. Need to reinstall the Audio driver.

Post back in a Comment.

Whenever i turn on my t61, it will automatically die after 2 mins so i decided to replace the battery. but then after charging the new battery for 12 hrs, same thing still happened. what would be the cause...

Could be a million things! Process of elimination is the only way.
The fan might be blocked and causing it to overheat and cut out.
CPU might have a crack in it from overheating.
Memory or motherboard might have a crack in it from overheating.
As the PC warms up the crack expands until something doesn't connect.
Bad connection on battery terminals
Power supply fault
Good luck

Help cannot get into my thinkpad labtop lenovo t61

Turn the computer on and then wait for the startup ThinkPad screen. then press the blue ThinkVantage button on the upper left of the keyboard. This should bring you to the rescue and recovery applications on the computer and help you diagnose and hopefully recover your system.

Thinkpad T61 Display Problem

LCDs are not repairable, it is something you need to replace when defective. They also happen to be very very expensive to replace.

Is the screen cracked at all? cause sometimes when laptops get bumped, it is actually just the lcd cable inside the laptop that came a little loose and isn't making a full connection. If the screen isn't cracked or anything I would at least look into a possible loose cable first If you are not comfortable taking the laptop apart, I would bring it to a computer shop and have them take a look at it as some laptops can be complicated to open up. They shouldn't charge you more than about $40 to take a look at the lcd cable, they are normally pretty quick to get at. It is worth a shot as lcds typically range from $400 - $1000 and to have someone install it would be probably another $50-$100

hope this helps a little
