Question about Toshiba 46H83 46" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I have a Toshiba 46H83 about 3 years old. Last couple months the screen showed some horizontal lines for a few hours and then it cleared. The problem appears on all different type of input (DVD, Satelite, VCR, and regular TV channel). I had a repairman come by and he said it's leaking, but did not clarify. The screen came clear while the repairman was looking at it and reseating the connectors, so he left w/o charging. The problem came back a few hours later and I tried to reseat all connectors to see if it would help. No luck there. Is there any hope of getting this problem fixed or should I cut my loss and get a different TV? Thanks Hien
If the repairman you had look at the set is used to working on projection sets, have him come back and Re-Solder Connector Px801 (Edge Connector) On The G-Hyper Module. (Pins 1 And 2 Of Px801 probably needs to be Re-Soldered) Otherwise, find a different repair person.

I've talked with a couple TV repairman about the hrizontal lines problem and they said the normal life for a bulb of a projection TV is 3-4 years. Is this true?
