Ice maker doesn't make enough ice

Has anyone had this problem with an icemaker in a GE French door refirgerator:
Ice maker seems too small. Doesn't even make enough ice to make a pitcher of iced tea. Tech says the icemaker is smaller than in other refrigerators.
Does anyone know of a FD refrigerator with ice thru the door with a large ice maker?

I have a GEmodel GFSF2HCYAWW french door bottom freezer model. The ice maker seems to not be getting cold enough, resulting in drippin water that freezes all cubes that do form into one huge clump o

Sounds like your water inlet valve is leaky. Go to repairclinic dot com AnD type in your model number. they will have a fixit kit with all the icemaker gear in it for the big bucks, as well as the individual parts separately. Check that your fill hose has not failed or that the icemaker mech assembly is not cracked or broken.

Ice Maker is not dispensing ice

Since it is brand new, it should be covered under warranty but check a few things first. To make ice, you need to have the water, a cold freezer, and the ice maker must be turned on. Since you say you have ice then the temp and the water supply sound OK. There is a shut off option on ice makers so you can decide not to make ice as on option. Check that the ice maker is turned ON. Also, there is an automatic shut off if the bin fills up with ice so it does not overflow. On mine, it is a bar that will raise up higher as the ice accumulates and that will shut off the icemaker. Check that. Otherwise call GE for warranty service on the icemaker.

GE FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR DOES NOT MAKE ICE

First thing to check is if the freezer temperature is going down low enough for the ice maker to work - around 10 degrees. The icemaker thermostat will not activate the mechanism (cam motor) unless this requirement is met.

GE GSH25JFRF BB ice maker doesn't dispense. Water dispenses and ice maker makes ice but won't come out.

There should be a plastice hinge cover on the left top hinge on freezer door. Take it off and press the plug together firmly. Try that and let me know, Sea Breeze

How do you change the ice cube setting on the 25cf LG French Door bottom freezer? I cannot see anywere in the manual where it indicates where you change this setting?!

The icemaker requires a water pressure of 1.5 - 8.5kgf/cm2. It is acceptable if the water supply fills a cup of 180cc with water in 3 seconds. The icemaker produces small cubes if the water fed into it is not enough and lumped together if too much water is supplied. In order to obtain the desired size of ice cubes, the amount of water supplied to the ice maker needs to be adjusted. Adjust the valve supplying water to the icemaker or the unit in general in such a way that right amount of water fills the ice tray.
