Question about Microwave Ovens
When we use the microwave it makes a loud rubbing noise from the rotating plate. Is there something that we can use to lubricate that area so it will be more smooth?
The turntable system consists of the turntable motor, the turntable coupler, the roller guide / turntable support with rollers, and the glass turntable tray.
You can see and hear a video of how a turntable motor should sound when you rotate it by hand.
It's important for everything to be clean and dry. Lubrication is not recommended or required. That would only serve as a bandaid.
If it doesn't work right, or it makes noise, then it is broken or worn.

I have the same problem my microwave is a kenmore this is the second one I've had and they both did it I solved the problem by re-seating the turn table however if you are skilled at taking things apart you can put a few drops of small motor lubricant on the spline it worked for me. good luck!

It may be a noisy fan motor or a failing magnetron or high-voltage transformer.
