Question about Samsung HCN653W 65" Rear Projection Television

The TV turns on and off after a few seconds and repeats itself.

When i turn my tv on i can here it trying to work but i get no picture a little bit of sound. after 5 seconds it shuts off and immediatly tries to turn on again with the same result. it will do this until i turn it off myself. My TV is a Samsung model number HCN653W Manufactured in 2004.

    were you able to solve with this fix? Service man was here today and told me that parts were not avail.

    I replaced the 2 stk convergence modules part numbers STK392-040 and also replaced the vertical deflection output IC part number LA7845 and it did not fix the problem. It is doing the same thing. I do hear the sound amplifier clicking while trying to turn on.

    I lost picture, the power button continues to power on, the sound comes and goes for a second only when it tries to power itself on.

Hi.

Either the stk convergence modules or the vertical ic have failed.
replace the 3 parts and it should fire up again.

How to Program


Remotes With SET Button
1. Choose and press a device key i.e TV. LED will flash once.
2. Press "SET" Hold until the LED Lights up.
3. Enter the 4-digit Device code (refer code list).
4. The LED will flash once as each number is programmed at the end of the 4 digit the LED will turn off immediately if correct. If the LED flashes then something went wrong in the process. If the first code does not work then repeat the process with the next.
5. Important - Some brands use other manufacturers to make their devices if the codes available do not work the try the MAGIC search function.

MAGIC SEARCH FUNCTION
1. The magic search function enables you to scroll through the entire code list one by one by pushing the on/off button. Each time you push the on/off button the remote automatically switches to the next code in the list and sends a signal to the device you have chosen.
2. Choose and press a device key i.e TV. LED will flash once.
3. Press and hold the SET button or if no SET button then hold BOTH the CHANNEL UP AND VOLUME DOWN button until the LED Lights up.
4. Enter the 4-digit Device code (refer MAGIC list) i.e TV is 0001.
5. The LED will flash once as each number is programmed at the end of the 4 digit the LED will turn off immediately if correct. If the LED flashes then something went wrong in the process.
6. Start scrolling by pushing the ON/OFF button as soon as your TV or Chosen device turns OFF lock the code in by pushing the DEVICE key again.

My tv has gone some orange colour


Try unplugging your tv and anything connected to it - you might want to take a picture first so you have a reference. I would also unplug everything connected to the tv: cable, stereo, etc. Wait a few minutes, then plug in and re-connect everything.

You can also go into your TV's setup menu and adjust the picture settings - try restoring the default settings first.

Resetting your Router and Set-Top Box
Always reset your Router first and then check to see if that resolves the issue. Resetting your router may be all that is needed.
