I have a Dakota Scout 4 port kvm switch, model 1016-04. It must be 7-8 years old.
I am wondering if there are some hot key sequences that I can use to switch between connected PC's, rather than use the select button on the front of the unit?
Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I use one of these, and hotkey sequence is <ctrl><ctrl><port letter><enter>.
Where <port letter> is A,B,C or D.

Hi,

So you still have the same problem???

Twice CTRL - LED flashes (A)
Hit A,B,C or D (Port select)
Hit Enter

RESET: Disconnect ALL cables from "Dakota", Shut all PC's down, reconnect all cables & Fire them all up again ;)

Try CTRL CTRL A and enter or CTRL CTRL B and enter. THE CTRL CTRL activates the keyboard command sequence and A or B is the required port. Hope that helps.
