About cleaning heads and cap, you clean them by removing the parts and soaking them on isopropyl alcohol, or cleaning solution.
To clean heads you can also use cleaner cartridges.

Open the cover and then take out the ink cartrdiges. Using a nozzle sparay and a soft cloth clean the head where the ink cartrdiges sprays ink. Also clean the colour cartridge head to make sure there is no dried ink. You get such spray in the market.

This will resolve the issue. Also make sure the roller is also clean.

Thanks

Streaking on photo plots on a 1050c

Streaks can come from several sources. Since you said they appear near the end of a plot, the print heads may be running out of ink before the end of the job. This would happen if you had air in the ink tube system and consequently in the heads. When the printer is idle for a while, ink will migrate to the bottom of the print head so when you print again it is ok for the first part of the plot and then gets to the air bubble.

Open the back door of the plotter and look for air bubbles in the ink supply lines. If air is present, it needs to come out. There is a purging tool at Designjet Ink Tube Priming Tool . The print heads may need to be replaced, but not before the tube system is clean.

I have an Epson stylus photo 925 printer. It is only printing out the top half of pages. Any solutions?

This is usually caused by the purge unit or capping assembly. Epsons have a bat habit of the purge tube falling off of the bottom of the capping assembly.

The purge unit is used the **** a little ink out of the printhead. Inkjets do this to keep the nozzles full of fresh ink. Sometimes the hose will come off of the bottom of the head capping assembly on the top of the purge unit preventing the purge pump from having any effect. This assembly should be on the right side inside the printer where the head sits when the machine is off. If you can get the head to move to the center of travel you can unplug the machine, shine a light into the right side and inspect the assembly. Depending on use it could be quite dirty with old ink making it difficult to inspect. If the rubber cap is missing or misaligned, or if there looks like there is too much old ink you should be able to tell with the visual inspection. If the tube has come off the bottom of the assembly you may be able to see that as well. If you just cannot tell, you'll have to decide if you want to try new ink cartridges or not. This can be an expensive test, but often just old cartridges can cause similar problems. If not, the machine would have to be disassembled and have the purge unit removed for a closer inspection and cleaning or repair.

My pictures are getting yellow streaks as they print out

If you are getting "yellow streaks", run the Kodak "print-head-cleaning" software, to see if that helps.

Be sure to compare the cost of "repairing" the printer to that of buying a new printer (that would use the same ink-cartridges).

Lexmark z2300m....black printing suddenly started streaking. Prints first 6 lines then streaks on rest of page. Nozzle cleaning and manual cleaning didn't help.

Your best bet is to buy new ink cartridges.

Ensure that the entire assembly is cleaned thoroughly though, just to be sure. Nozzle cleaning is rarely useful.

Faded-out streak

check your ink levels. if its the ink that came with the printer it is probable running out of ink. they do not give a full cartridge with printers, only about 3rd full. also try cleaning the heads. and try changing your printer settings/prefrences to less ink, more drytime see if that helps.

Epson 9600 magenta won't print - have new cap assembly installed

The ink should come out of the cart. if not the cart is the problem at this point try anothere magenta if that does not shore it up then you need to then start looking at the print head where it goes it itself now the store you bought the ink from will give you a replacement no questions asked sometimes even if you dont got the reciept. Try those steps you be glad you did.

Canon Pixma IP4000 - will not print. Did maintenance cleaning and the 3E was not showing solid lines. Cleaned many times and finally took out ink & print head and cleaned off a bit and now won't show...

I'm not sure what you did. We have 3 MP780 and IP6000 and 9000 printers. The frequent problem have is streaking usually w/ refilled cartridges and even new cartridges. This is what we usually do:
1. Take the printhead out and dip it in 1-2mm depth hot water. Hopefully the water changes color and clears up the clog. Keep the Circuits dry. Wipe off excess water when you are done.
2. For really difficult clogs, if the hot water doesn't work I find a small rubber hose and syringe that encloses(meaning air tight) the mesh in the printhead where the ink goes in. I then pump air in to clear out the clog.
3. Since you have to do it for the Black 3e, you might as well do it also for all the others to make sure they are not clogged.
Make sure when you pump in the air the syringe is not touching the mesh in the printhead. If these don't work then you can try borrow the printhead of another printer and testing it out. If it works then you need to buy the printhead. If Canon has stock, you should get it fast. If not, and you really need to print either go to a printing service or buy a new printer. Good luck.
