I need to replace the light bulb on my Admiral dryer Model LNC7766A71 and to gain access, I must remove the lens cover but I'm not sure how to remove it. Does the lens cover just snap out? I don't want to break it as the part is no longer available.

Need to replace a baffle that broke off . MED9800TKo model baffle broke off insde on the dryer drum

Remove the top panel to access the outside of the drum where the baffle securing screws are found. Remove the three hex-head screws from the rear flange of the dryer's top cover the lift the rear of the cover and slide it back so the tabs clear the catches on the bracket and remove the cover from the unit.

Turn the drum until the baffle screws are on top then remove the screws and the baffles. Install the new baffles then the top cover. Make sure that the tabs slide under the bracket catches when you reinstall the top cover. The top cover screws have nylon flat washers on them. Be sure to use these screws when you reinstall the top cover.

The bar things inside the dryer drum (there are three of them) one has come almost all the way off. and one is loose. looks like its screwed from the other side.. cant figure out how to get inside. it...

Unplug the dryer. Open the door and remove a total of 4 screws, 2 on each side of the door opening. Two screws each hold a clip in place and the other two hold the dorr hinges. When you remove the screws on the door hinge, it shouldn't fall off, but be prepared for it to do just that. The door should come off by lifting the hinges upward and pulling the door away. The remaining part of the front panel is held on by 2 clips located toward the top sides of the u-shaped front panel. Pull the panel forward to release the clips and lift the panel upward to clear the two tabs and slots on the bottom. On each side of the cabinet, there is a blackish colored metal bracket that holds the top in place. Remove the fasteners that holds these brackets and remove the brackets by sliding them upward and away. The top should now lift up. You now have access to the fasteners that hold the baffles onto the drum. If , for some reason, you should want to remove the baffles, carefully note the different sizes of the baffles and what order they came off.

Here is the parts list for the drum of your dryer:

The beater bar in my Neptune dryer modeL # MED5500AYW has come off and needs to be replaced.

It sounds like you are referring to the drum baffles when you say "beater bar". If that is so, you need to remove the front panel then raise the top cover to access the baffles mounting screws outside the drum. Below is the link to the procedure I posted previously.

How do you open the top? the padals inside the drum are coming loose

The front panel needs to be removed first before the top cover can be lifted to the rear of the dryer to access the outside of the drum and re-tighten the screws attaching the baffles to the drum. Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

Open the dryer door and remove the four screws located vertically along the inside lip of the door opening. These screws hold the front panel to the front shroud assembly. Once the four screws are removed, grasp and press in on the upper edges of the front panel posts then twist it inward to release the clips holding it to the cabinet. Tilt the top of the front panel and move it away from the dryer.

The top cover is held on each side of the cabinet by two hold down brackets. Locate and remove the 5/16" hex-head screws holding each bracket then swing the bracket to the outside and unhook it from the slot in the top cover lip.

Open the door then lift the front of the top cover and tilt it toward the rear of the dryer. Reinstall the top cover and the front panel by following the removal steps in reverse order.

The top cover needs to be lifted to the rear of the dryer to access the outside of the drum and tighten the baffle screws. But before the top cove can be lifted, the front panel must be removed first. Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

1 of 3 fins on inside is loose & hanging by 1 screw.

Access to the bottom of the baffles for tightening the screws requires the lifting of the top cover which also requires the removal of the front panel. Disconnect power to the dryer prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock.

The top panel can be lifted only after the front panel is removed. Open the door and remove the four screws located vertically along the inside lip of the door opening. These screws hold the front panel to the front shroud assembly.

Once the four screws are removed, grasp and press in on the upper edges of the front panel posts then twist it inward to release the clips holding it to the cabinet. Tilt the top of the front panel and move it away from the dryer.

The top panel is held on each side of the cabinet by two hold down brackets. Locate and remove the 5/16" hex-head screws holding each bracket then swing the bracket to the outside and unhook it from the slot in the top panel lip.

Open the door then lift the front of the top panel and tilt it toward the rear of the dryer.

Rotate the drum until the baffle screws are positioned on the top for tightening.

Reinstall the top panel and the front panel by following the removal steps in reverse order.

I have Whirlpool Duet Dryer that has a noise.

It is common for small items (such as coins) to get stuck inside the dryer drum baffles. You can easily remove them without disassembling the entire dryer. The screws that hold them in place are located on the outside of the dryer drum. In order to access, follow these steps:

1. Unplug the dryer.
2. Remove the top panel of the dryer by removing the three screws located in the back of the dryer holding the panel in place. Once the screws are removed, the top panel slides back, then lifts off.

Each drum baffle has two screws holding it in place. Remove the screws and the baffle will drop into the drum allowing you to easily check inside each one.

Another source of dryer noise is something caught in the blower fan housing. You will need to remove the lower toe panel directly below the dryer door to access. Follow these steps:

1. Open the dryer door and remove the lint screen (the blower fan cover will not come off with the lint screen in place).
2. Locate the screws that hold the toe panel in place along the bottom front edge of the panel. HINT: Propping the front feet of the dryer up can give you better access to reach the screws (a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed the toe panel will drop down, then come off.
3. Remove the screws that hold the blower fan cover in place.

Inspect the blower fan housing for any objects that may be vibrating against the fan blades.

If you still need further assistance, please let me know. I hope you find this helpful.

Fix Loose Baffles

The two screws that hold the door door hinges and the two on the opposite side of the door opening hold the front panel in place. Once you remove the door and the other two screws the front panel should swing down to access the screws that hold down the top. But you may be able to reach the baffle screws once the front cover is removed.
