alright....When i try to play a game, for the first 10mins of playing, the game runs fine but then after the 10mins, the fps drops and I start to lag, it last for about 30sec. then it keeps on doing that for like about every 3mins. And for the driver update, the link doesnt work..

Sorry about the link. Lagging would be either your graphics card isn't too good but im certain its ok, you don't have enough RAM or you don't have much free room on your hard drive. Let me know how much RAM you have, by right clicking on 'My Computer' and clicking properties and it will say how much you have, and checking the free space in your C drive

    The Link To ATIs Site

To download, just click on Catalyst Software Suite under Download Link

Let me know if there are any changes after running your game, also let me know what game you are testing. thanks

Its ok, i am able to get enough info from that. It is intergarted but the Xpress 1100 Series is a good graphics card which should run games quite alright. Can you tell me what happens when you try to run a game. as much detail as possible please and i will work on your problem asap. Um for driver updates go to. Try This first, run a few games and then tell me what happens">

Depending on your computer which i don't know, it would be most likely your graphics are integrated on the motherboard and are either not up to date or is not good enough. Let me know what your laptop brand and Model are, and possibly your graphics model and brand and i will give you driver updates which will hopefully run your laptop better for games

Vista? that might explain alot. Some games that are designed for older systems won't run well on Vista so it could be that as your problem and speeds are very slow in Vista Systems compared to XP ones and this may be whats causing your lag. Ill give you a Vista Update but due to the system, it won't do much good im afraid. All i can offer is a machine with way superior graphics or a downgrade to windows XP which is not as simple as it sounds. There may be one more thing you can do to help you, increase your Virtual memory which i am not so sure how to do on Vista so Google it, or defragment your Hard Drive which again im not sure where it is so Google it if you don't know. Sorry i can't be of any greater help

this is possibly due to the settings in your BIOS.
the specs for your laptops says that it is a 64bit PC w/ 4GB RAM and 1GB of video
check your BIOS settings for the video card and set them accordingly.

My screen gos blank and must restart the comp, when i run a game and sometimes just on a web page.presario 1720us, totaly random, like right now the comp has been on for hours and no problems at all till...

Thanks for sharing your problem with us.

From your explanation i understand that you have to restart the PC if you try to run a game or some time while browsing on internet because it goes blank randomly.

Well while looking at the symptoms it make pretty sure that this might not be the issue of heat as you said but this might be because of the RAM or Graphic Card and why that would be the reason is like only while you try to run a game or while watching a movie clip, graphics the RAM or Graphic Card is extensively used for the video performance and system file execution(for gaming), so at this point of operation if there is some conflicting software or if the RAM or Graphic Card fails to cope-up with the CPU speed will lead to system crash or screen goes blank and must restart the PC.

so in order to fix this problem you have to carefully check the RAM and Graphic Card for any circuit burns, loose connections, and you can check if you RAM is OK by using the memory diagnosis method used by LINUX OS.

Good Luck.

My compaq presario v3000 never have a problem... suddenly, my laptop was shut down automatically when i play game... i think its about hard disc or graphic card.... needs answer

perhaps you ran out of memory RAM when you started the game, or probably got shut down because ou overheated it... if could be a lot of reasons, oh, and check that you ahve enough battery, try running the game plugged on the electric socket and check if your computer meets the system requirements of the game

Whenever i try to install and open games,my computer complains of no graphic device found. What do i do?

It should mean about the Video Card, for many games (and of course the good ones) you need a good video (graphic) card to run them, because a normal computer has not enough capasity to run them.
You can buy a video graphics card, but as far as I know there is no such thing for laptops, only for desktop
That means you won't be able to play the hottest games.

Video card

Notebook computers unless made specifically for gaming aren't able to play the graphic intense games like gears of war and games that are graphic intense, I run an sli machine with dual graphics cards, ans still cannot play on the highest graphics settings on some machines, the new motherboards are runnong 3 an 4 video cards for gaming rigs. Most notebooks run shared graphics memory and don't have a seperate card for graphics, look at the alienware notebooks, and you will see what I am talking about, unless you have a 'Gaming laptop" custom job, playing the latest games is out for most normal laptops.

I need a graphic card

Unfortunately you wont be able to upgrade to a graphics card, as only high end gaming laptops come with a seperate graphics card, most other laptops have only on board graphics,it may help if you install more memory then allow more graphics memory to be used, normally laptops only use 16mb - 32mb of graphic memory, which can be increased, although your on board graphics may not be good enough for modern gaming
