Honeywell PRO TH4110d Prog Thermostat not responding
My brand new thermostat and heating system will not stay on long enough to heat up my home. It kicks the heat on for about 3 minutes (about long enough to raisethe thermostat 1 degree), then it shuts it off (far from the targettemperature) and will not heat up again unless I manually switch theheater on and off.
I tried changing batteries in the thermostat and have read the operating manual cover to cover trying everything.

If the thermostat is wired correctly, and matched to the type of heat you have ie electric, heat pump, boiler, forced air, gas or oil, the heat should run in either Fan ON or AUTO. Maybe you can explain your system a little more in depth...furnace type, M#, & thermostat brand w/ M#.
The Honeywell Vision Pro 8000 can be complicated to figure out if it isn't set up right from the system menu. There are so many things that you can make it do, sometimes the most common things are wrong. My question is ''what kind of system do you have, heat pump or not?, and is the system gas or oil?" If I knew these things, I could definitely help you figure out if the thermostat is set up right. I have the manual so that I can give you exact numbers. Whats' so hard is the Honeywell thermostat has a built in 1@ differential. It is not adjustable. You might ask your installer about a time delay relay installed in the furnace to break the thermostat heat wire (usually white wire). Most time delay relays are 90 seconds. But that might be enough to reduce the furnace cycling.
