Hi I have GE Microwave (model no JES738WJ02) which has suddenly stopped working from yester day ... the problem is when I am starting it,the inside light gets on and the inside dish is rotating properly...

The easiest way to fix a problem at m.w. ovens is to check out if the 220V (Europe) volts feeds the transformer. You must remove the cover, put a glass of water inside the oven, turn on for 3 minutes and measure the tension that come to transformer.
Don't try to measure the transformer output, the tension is very high ~2400V !!!
If at the transformer input there are the 220V (Europe) but the oven still don't heat, the magnetron (m.w. generator) is burned out and must be changed.

Build-up of soft ice all over in the freezer

Do a manual defrost of the unit. Unplug it.. empty the freezer and place a fan b l o w i n g into the freezer for about 2 hours.
After the manual defrost return the unit to normal service.

If the soft build up of ice shows up again take a very hard look at the door seals. Look for tears.. gaps or any place the gasket is no longer attached to door face

This unit should defrost about every 10 hours. If it does not automatically defrost,,,, doing a manual defrost will only keep the unit going if you repeat the manual defrosting drill every 2 - 3 days.

If it just never goes into the automatic defrost cycle at all, the control board could have failed. PN: W10116216

A failed defrost heating element can also cause this. Item 10 this link:

I have Microwave Oven Model JES738WJ02, Manufactured July 2007. After about less than two years of use, it died. No power. Looks like just the fuze went off. Any remedy? Any repair shop around ZIP 17042?

This appears to be a model for which GE does not offer parts or service, and which must be returned to the place of purchase if under warranty.

If it's out of warranty, you'd have to find a local servicer IF you want to put any money into it.

GE Customer Service is here. You can find your nearest GE-authorized servicer there.

I would suspect a blown fuse or the magnetron's thermal cutout / thermostat has opened.

I don't know how to use my automatic defrost. Here is the page of your owners manual that shows how to auto defrost. It is a bit hard to read. If you have your owners manual still, it is on page 24. Hope this helps.
