Question about Cell Phones

1 Answer

My LG835 cell phone is not charging. I've tried both outlet and car charger. It seems that the plug into the phone is loose. If I hold it in at the right angle it'll charge but as soon as I let go--nothing. Any suggestions?

Not charging Acer Aspire 5732z, now won't turn on!

If it does not work with the Charger while the battery is out then I would say either your charger is bad, the dc power jack where the charger plugs into the laptop is bad or you've got motherboard issues. Does the charger have a light on it to indicate that it is on when plugged in the wall? Do you see any lights when you plug the charger into the laptop?

Take an ink pen and see if the little pin inside the computer where the charger plugs is loose and moves a bit. If so that is probably your problem. If the pin is tight and the charger works, then you've got motherboard issues.

Not charging

There are a few things you can try (you may have done some of them already):
  1. It may seem simple, but try plugging your charger into another outlet.
  2. Check the charging connector on the phone. Make sure that it's free of any dirt that could be blocking the connection to the charger.
  3. Buy another charger. If it doesn't help, return it afterward.
  4. It could be the battery itself that's dead. You could try looking for a replacement battery, but that may be harder to return if it doesn't help. You could also try taking the battery out, and then plug in the charger... some phones (very few) will work without the battery, but this will tell you right away if it's the battery.
  5. The charging port on the phone itself could be loose. Try jiggling it with the charger connected to it.
  6. The charging port could be dead or there could be some other type of electrical issue with the phone (water damage, maybe, or something else).
Hopefully this helps. Good luck.

Can not get charger to totally connect into the phone to charge. Do you think there is something wrong w/ the end on the charger or would it be the phone itself?

Check to see if there are any mechanisms on the charger plug that keep it plugged into the phone. If they seem loose or damaged, replace the charger. Also replace it if the tip of the charger looks in any way deformed. Otherwise, it may very well be a problem with the phone's charger input. Try cleaning the input with some rubbing alcohol as a last resort. If it charges but doesn't stay plugged in, the best thing may be some tape to keep it connected. Hope I could help =)

My phone is fairly new ( a few months old) and for some reason the charger wont charge when I plug it in. I've tried unplugging it, putting it in different outlets, taking the battery in and out etc but...

i think your baterry is drained already..try to charge your battery in a universal charger, or a clip charger.then continue charging with your original chargermoz-screenshot.png7bf4754.jpeg

My phone will not charge

There are several key parts that go into a phone's charging mechanism work properly.

First, make sure the port you plug the charger into on the phone is not damaged. Make sure the charger has no damage. As well as the wall outlet and/or car outlet. Make sure the battery is not loose and is in all the way.

Once you have ensured all of these things are working alright, try using a different outlet (even if yours seemed ok). Try a different charger (even if yours was ok). Try a different battery (even if yours was ok). These are listed in ascending order of how much they cost.

If none of these are resolving the issue, the phone is the cause. You'll want to replace it. The most common means of replacement are through warranty, insurance, or upgrade. Each of these are processed through your carrier (AT&T, etc). Or, if none of these are available, you can put your SIM in a GoPhone (without having to start a prepaid account) or purchase off of Ebay or Craigslist.

Hope this helps! :)

My Razr v3 won't turn on and it's only 2 months old. the battery was fully charged in another phone. I've tried holding the on button down, plugging in the charger and replacing the battery but the phone...

Well you seem to have done the hard bit.Either charger or battery you`ve tested.

Just had one thought,How long was the battery out of the phone?

So put the phone in a warm room for 2-3 hrs.As condensation can form in the phone. Firstly remove the battery and check there`s no moisture anywhere.

The last solution I can think of is to try a battery in the phone ,plug the charger in and try charging for 3 hours. It can take time for the graphics to appear.

Well after it not being the battery, charger it will be the phone. So take it back to your retailer and ask for a replacement.

Hope i`ve helped!

Bad Cell Phone Charger connection

If you go onto Ebay, you can get something called a universal cell phone charger. This plugs into the wall and charges the battery directly, rather than using the phone port. They cost between one and three dollars. I had the same problem and was told to do this and it works very, very well. Good luck!
