The drop box is an "autocomplete" list that is populated by your web browser (Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox). It has nothing to do with Yahoo.

The browser only keeps this information for so long before it gets "bumped off the end" to make room for new things you have typed into the box.

Also, if you delete your browsing history, this data will also be cleared out.

If you want to remember websites permanently, add them to your Favourites list by hitting CTRL+D.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Ymail create id

Ymail is a subsidiary email client under the Yahoo domain. Ymail provides free, open source Web mail services for Internet users.
Created as a partner to Yahoo RocketMail, Ymail was implemented to help triple the size of the existing Yahoo emailing server, which already has more than 200 million users.
Making a Ymail ID requires the creation of a Ymail email address directly through Yahoo.
Access the Yahoo Account Registration page at yahoo.com (see Bottom of page).
Type your first name and last name in the proper data fields at the top of the Yahoo Account Registration page.

Click the "Gender" drop-down bar and select "Male" or "Female."
Click the "Birthday" drop-down bar and provide the month of your birthday.
Then, enter the day and year for your birthday in the applicable data fields.
Enter your five-digit postal code in the data field directly below the drop-down bar for your country.
Type a unique name in the Yahoo! ID and email text field.
Then, click the "yahoo.com" drop-down bar, and change the setting to "Ymail.com."

Click "Check" to verify that your desired Ymail ID is available.
(If the Ymail ID is not available, alternatives will be generated, but you can also manually change the ID until you find one that is available.)

Create a password for the Ymail ID account and email account.
Then, re-type the password in the corresponding data field for verification.

Provide an alternative email address for account safety and security purposes.
Click one of the security questions in the corresponding drop-down bar.
Then, provide an answer to the question as an alternative method to verify your account or retrieve your account password.
(An alternative email address and security questions are not mandatory but can be beneficial if you ever lose or forget your Ymail account password.)

Enter the characters in the security code box below the registration data fields.
Click the "Create My Account" button at the bottom of the registration page.
The site will redirect to the new Ymail ID account page.

Create A Yahoo Email Address
Yahoo offers free email accounts with add-ons such as a calendar, notepad and an automatic organizer.
Your Yahoo account is Web-based, so you can access your messages anywhere you have an Internet connection.
Once you complete the simple one-page registration form, you will also have access to all of Yahoo's features.
You can use your new email address to sign into Flickr, Yahoo Answers, Messenger and a variety of games and fantasy sports leagues.

Click the "Sign Up" link that appears below the "Sign In" option on the Yahoo homepage to create a new account.
Enter your name, gender, address and birth date on the appropriate lines.
Choose your Yahoo username.
Your username will also be your email address. Make sure "Yahoo.com" is selected from the drop-down list next to the email address.
Click the "Check" button to see if your desired email address is available.
Enter your desired password on both of the required lines.
The password must be typed exactly the same on both lines.
You will see a "Password Strength" bar indicating how difficult your password will be for a hacker to guess.
Select a "secret question" from the drop-down menu.
Yahoo will use this question to verify your identity if you lose your password.
Enter the answer to the question you chose from the menu.
Repeat this process to choose your second "secret question" and answer.
There is also an optional line where you can enter an alternate email address for Yahoo to send you password resetting instructions.
Enter the letters and numbers displayed in the image on the screen into the "image verification" line.
This proves that you are a human and not an automated script designed to open new Yahoo accounts.
Click the "Create My Account" button when you are finished completing all of the input boxes. You will then see your account details displayed on the screen.
You can print this page for your records, if needed.
Click "Continue" to proceed to your new email account.

Visit this site for more details. Type in the site name "Electro-help" either Google or Yahoo search box [not in the address bar of your browser], and click search. It is an electronic equipments service help site. All details you want are there. Note the position of hyphen in between words in site name, when you type it in. The site will appear as it is in web; subtitled as electronics equipments' repair help.

Pull up older posts. You can gather all details. Sometimes, click open the adverts' by the side and bottom of each post might give you more details.

I cannot seem to open any web site that is related

It's good that you have narrowed down the problem to when your laptop is at your work.
I have two suggestions for narrowing it down further,
(1) tell us exactly what error you get from Firefox when you try to access yahoo sites from your work
(2) try a ping before and after you have a problem getting to yahoo sites. (You might want to try this a few times to see if it is consistent.)

If ping says 0% loss before and after you have a problem accessing Yahoo at work, then that suggests the problem is NOT with your wireless router (unless it is doing filtering). Instead, it would be more likely an issue with filtering/blocking/firewall or web cache/proxy. It might even be a deliberate decision by your work-place to block access to Yahoo for employees.

A site that is blocked.

  • go to start>run>CMD>ENTER
  • from the command prompt type in ping yahoo.com
  • instead of yahoo.com though, type in the address that is blocked.
  • then hit ENTER
  • this will ping out to that site and give you an IP address for that site
  • open up your web browser
  • type the ip address of that website in the address bar where you usually type the address
This will allow you to see websites that are blocked by a simple dns proxy. If you have a different setup or different proxy type, let us know

Iemail no replies

Hi michael_burk

Send emails to couple of friends and ask them to reply.
This way you can not make an error in your own address,.

It is good anyone to have 2 email addresses (eg: yahoo, hotmail)
This way, you can login to Yahoo and send an email to yourself to the other address.
Cheers

Can't get site to publish

Hello kindly try this steps and links in publishing your site on net.

  1. Understand the basics. To publish a web site, you should know what a web site must have to be published. A website has a unique web address like www.google.com or www.yahoo.com. This is called a domain name. Each domain name is registered with a DNS (Domain Name Server), which identifies a domain name with a unique ID i.e. IP address (A bunch of 4 groups of 3 digits each). Then, a web site must have a webspace allocated to it. This is provided by a Web Server maintained by many companies.
  2. Look on the web if the name you want to register for website is still available i.e not registered by anyone. You can search for this on many websites like http://www.networksolutions.com etc. If the name is available, then go for it, or think over a new name.
  3. Note the following. If the name is available, then you should go to an Internet Service Provider and get the name of your website registered. You'll get a unique IP address and domain name from the same Internet Service Provider or another buy a web space for your web site. A normal and usual website can be designed with 5 MB of Web space. Depending on your requirement buy web space. There may be generally two options one on a web server using Windows hosting or Linux hosting. Linux hosting is generally cheaper. Also consider the design of your web site and tools you are using to develop your web pages. These should be available on the hosting web server.
  4. Get your web pages designed and working on your own or by a professional web site designer.
  5. Upload the contents of the web pages (files, Folders etc.) as it is to the web server with FTP address, login and password provided by hosting service provider.
  6. Give yourself a pat on the back! Now your website is ready and running over the Internet. You can see it using http://www.yourdomainname.com
If you need more assistance just reply to this post.

Thanks

How do u get arouns k9 web protection

Lol.... I don't know why I'm helping you, but try using a proxy site.
Just go here:
http://theproxyfree.com/
and tell it what web address you want to go to.

If you want to try something else, you could try this: open start menu, hit run (or just hold down the windows key and hit R). This will bring up the run prompt, type in "cmd" (without quotes) and hit enter. You now have a DOS prompt in front you. Type: (without quotes again, and from now on..) "ping", a space, and the web address of where you want to go. Hit enter. You should get something like this:

ping www.yahoo.com

Pinging www-real.wa1.b.yahoo.com [209.191.93.52] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 209.191.93.52: bytes=32 time=11ms TTL=54
Reply from 209.191.93.52: bytes=32 time=11ms TTL=54
Reply from 209.191.93.52: bytes=32 time=11ms TTL=54
Reply from 209.191.93.52: bytes=32 time=11ms TTL=54

Ping statistics for 209.191.93.52:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 11ms, Maximum = 11ms, Average = 11ms

Take the IP address: 209.191.93.52 (which will be different for every site), and put that into your browser. This will bypass quite a few different web protectors.
