Programming Your Universal Remote.
The remote may already be set up to operate your brand of TV, VCR, or Cable Box. It is pre-programmed with following codes:
AUX is programmed with VCR code 037
For brands that require programming, there are two ways to program: Using Code Lists or Code Search. Use Code Search if the code lists are not available or if the codes from the lists do not operate a device.
Programming a Device using Code Search:
Manually turn ON your device (TV, VCR, Cable Box)
Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH
Press and release the device button you want to set up (TV, VCR, Cable Box) However, if you are using AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device button for the type of device to be programmed (TV, VCR, or Cable). The selected device button will flash once.
Release CODE SEARCH.
Press OFF/ON repeatedly until the device turns off (you may have to press up to 100 times at a rate of once per second).
Once the device turns off, press and release ENTER.
With the device on, press any other button. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-6.
Programming a device using the Code Lists:
Find codes for each device and brand below.
Press and "HOLD" CODE SEARCH.
Press and release the TV, VCR or Cable button you want to set up. If programming AUX for a device, press and release AUX first and then the device to be programmed (TV, VCR or Cable). When the selected device button flashes proceed to the next step.
Enter the three digit code from the TV, VCR or Cable Box code lists.
Release CODE SEARCH.
With the device on, press another button, for example CHANNEL UP. If the device responds, no further programming is required. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 1-5 using another code number from the lists.
Assuming your T.V. is set up right, That is, the cable input matches the select input on the remote control check this, try clicking around the input choices while you feed the computer output to the to the T.V. Otherwise you may need to check for a other coveter boxes, It stands to reason, one way or another, you should be able to see the computer image on that T.V. model.
secondary display is like a blank desktop to show open windows or programs you have to drag them off your desktop to the left or right, whichever you set the TV to. to fix this look for a button that has two monitors on it on the F-row. F1,F2,etc. Hold down the Fn key and push the display function key at the same time. You might have to push the display button a couple times.
for A100 series, you can hook up the tv on your toshiba laptop through VGA port on S-video. you need to hook up the tv while the laptop is turned off. toggle the display by simply holding down the Fn button followed by the F5 button. and you need to set the mode on the tv as S-video. or you can go to display settings and set the tv as the secondary monitor. you can extend the display or do cloning.
