Question about Scanport GL 821A 17 in. Flat Panel LCD Monitor
Hey all, I've been having a problem with my monitor where it turns off and back on every second or so and repeats indefinitely. The problem seems to go away for a bit when the monitor has been off for some time, but always comes back. It also seems to be somewhat related to what's on the screen. One time I switched from a mostly black screen during the cycling to a mostly white screen (a word document) and the cycling stopped for a bit. It eventually picked up again though. I've tried some of the other solutions that others have posted for similar problems like mine (boot up in safe mode, reinstalled video drivers, turned down video settings), but no go.
Your monitor power supply is unstable and needs your expert attention. Check out for bad capacitors.

SOURCE: Flat screen will not turn on.
This is a classic symptom of a blown power supply board. If you open the monitor and look at the power supply board you will find parts called capacitors with bulging tops, they blow out because of trapped heat in the case. We have pictures on our web site at: www.ccl-la.com/capacitors.htm that will show you what to look for and what you need to get for the repair job. If you don't want to do the repair yourself we do offer a repair service for $35 plus return shipping. Youcan contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need any more information about the repair.
I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Hello Sbeban hi!, Most likely you have power supply problems. to fix this you need to replace the power supply board. or get professional help, by bringing it for repairs on your dealer. Now to do it yourself, you need a replacement PS board. Now finding on is difficult. I cannot help you here. search ebay, call your computer shop or dealer. then when you get the refurbish board. disassemble it and replace the old PS board with the new one.
