Question about Pioneer VSX-55TXi 6.1 Channels Receiver

My pioneer receiver vsx 55txi will not turn on

Power is plugged in and it will not turn on.  Is there a fuse?  What can I do?  All of the cords seem to be plugged in.

I have the same problem, and yes it is the fuse. My question is this, the fuse I removed was a 6.3amp 125volt 5x20mm fuse and all I seem to be able to find are 250volt fuses, either 6amp or 6.3amp., will using one of these fuses harm the receiver or will the higher voltage fuse with the same amperage be ok?

Yes, there is a fuse inside unit on main board...just unplug receiver and take screws out of the housing (side and back) and you'll see a cylinder fuse....pull up and out and see if its blown...If it is replace with same amp rating.....

My pionner audio video multi changer receiver vsx-498 shuts off then turns on when the receiver is on how can i fix it

The problem is not clear. Does the unnamed multichanger turn of/on wit hthe VSX-498 or is the VSX-489 having power issues?

Is the power cord of the multichanger plugged into the back of the VSX maybe the outlet is SWITCHED with the power state of the VSX..

On my Pioneer vsx-55txi, the protection circuit cuts in whenever I raise the volume to a reasonable level. If I sit 10 feet or more, the volume is too low. I don't like my music or movies loud, but this...

The protection circuit is enabling because the output transistors are 1. drawing too much current causing them to heat-up 2. the transistors are going out 3. the threshold level for the quiesce state is set too high and may need to be adjusted internally. Try to cool down the Unit and see if it occurs again.

My pioneer vsx-d507s keeps turning on mute randomly and I can't turn it off of mute There is no mute button. I would really like the owners manual

I have had the same problem, since there is no "mute" button on the receiver panel. My power cord on the receiver was plugged into my cable box and I was told this is not correct. I unplugged the receiver from the cable box and plugged it into my power surge protector and no more "mute"!!! Hope this helps.

Press TUNE+ & AUTO SURR/DIRECT keys continuously for 2 sec. and it will tell you the fault it encountered if the receiver is in otherwise working condition.
