me,too.I have seen someone did like this--

SOLUTION - as I thought it is the Smartlogon utility that is hijacking the camera. As cool as this utility is I have uninstalled it and now everything works fine.
Perhaps we could find a solution to this conflict.

The most common "other program" that interferes with camera download process is your antivirus program. Right-click the AV icon on bottom right and select EXIT, then wait 30 seconds or so, and try running the camera application again. Let me know if that was it.

As far as the second question, you can change boot.ini by r-clicking "My Computer" and selecting "properties'. Then select the startup and recovery tab, and you will find a boot.ini editor. Also, here is an MS article that explains how to directly modify boot.ini with notepad/wordpad:

Hi Welcome to Fix Ya. I also use an Asus with Lifeframe. Have you tried copying the photos to your Photo folder in your default picture library?

In other words, if you right click your photo in the lifeframe app and select "copy to" a drop down menu will appear that reads: "Select Folder."

2. Click on your Win Profile name. Then select "My Pictures" folder. The path will read: C:\Users\Your profile name\Pictures

3. You can then make a new folder or you can save it in the Lifeframe folder in a new separate folder.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using fix ya!

Hi my names marley & my lifeframe is built in & i have been having problems with my laptop, & it was working yesterday & now when i try to open it it says life frame 2 has stopped working...

I'm assuming this is for the webcam built in to your monitor? If this is the case, the solution seems to be to plug in the USB cable to provided. There is a USB port in the monitor for the webcam, so plug that in to your computer should be good to go.

I have no idea how to get my Asus Eee PC 1000h 1.3 mega pixel built-in webcam to work

If you use a program such as skype or google talk for example it should detect the camera and allow you to use it. Basically you need a program that calls upon the use of the camera to use it. (It should normally be listed as hardware in device manager and the twain driver be present).
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
I appreciate your vote if you appreciate my reply.

Cannot start Asus Lifeframe

Many people are reporting this same problem. If you have downloaded and installed Lifeframe 2, and updated the Bison camera drivers, and it still freezes, you're not alone.

Some people have just uninstalled Lifeframe and use the Windows Camera and Scanner program instead. It's worth a try.

And get some antivirus software!! Use Kaspersky if you don't want to buy McAfee or Norton. It's too dangerous out there to not have anything.
