You can call the customer service number for your cell provider, or you can actually go into a store. Either way, it will take a cell provider to unlock it. Usually, if you continue to try to guess the unlock code, it will eventually ask you for an even more complicated unlock code. I definately suggest going in to the store, because if they can't do it, they can get easier, faster customer service from their end.
Hello, is the symbol the one pictured below? If so this means the 'broadcast message' service is active. This can be switched off in Messages>MMS>broadcast messages.
