We are having same problems--started at taking 2 or 3 clicks today it tried for over a half an hour. I hae read online that this is a major problems and it is quite expensive to fix. For a $1400 TV that is only a yar and ahalf old this is very discouraging.

Howdy,
It sounds like you have a Power Supply Board problem. The PSB is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM811, CM812, CM817 & CS806; 1000ufd 25volts.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

I just took mine into the shop for the same problem, very irritating hearing it turn on and off all the time just to start, it would take like 10 minutes for my tv to finally turn on, the technician at the shop said the power supply was bad and i wasn't getting enough power to the main board to turn the TV on, 200 bucks later, I am happy, fix it, it is worth it.

I have a samsung model: LN-T4061FX. when turning on the tv, it has a distorted picture, the sound is good. if i smack that **** out of the top of the tv after multiple tries the screen will eventually

flext tab bond is the most likliest cause. They tend to lose their bonds and then usually hitting the top edge of the screen will lock it in. Flex tab issues will make part of the screen take on distortions and slow response of the pictures movements in the screen

My samsung LNT4061FX/XAA is flashing/blinking

There seems to be a common issue on several Samsung's where picture flickers/blinks. I first started seeing it a few months ago here and in the shop where I work.

Samsung is in some cases repairing it for free--seems the problem is on the power board (scene changes) can trigger it.

Solution in most cases is to REMOVE a jumper plug/or wire on the power board. A design flaw of some kind not anticipated by them.

A call to Samsung will resolve this either by them fixing for free or confirming this is the case---seen about 8 sets here where it did fix the set.

My my samsung LNT4061FX/XAA turn on but no pictures only sound whats wrong with it

If you shine a flashlight onto the screen, can you see a very faint picture. If yes, then your lcd panel is not lighting up. Replace the inverters or the panel.

first I would check the power supply for faulty caps, replace if neccessary.

Have Model Code LNT4061FX/XAA Serial No. AHBA3CSPB286150 Version CN06. When trying to turn the TV on it clicks on and off and on and off What is the problem; what is the solution??

Three capacitors on the motherboard are bad. They cost about 2 dollars each. If you are handy, you can take the tv apart and replace them. It took me about 30 minutes. Unplug the tv. Lay it on a large table so the stand can hang off without tilting the tv with the back of the tv facing up. take all the Phillips screws off the back cover. Take the back cover off. There is a grey cover about the size of 8x11 inches on the left middle area held on by about 6 to 8 phillips screws. Take it off. Unplug the motherboard, there are about 5 different plugs. Unscrew it and take it out. There are 3 somewhat swelled 1000mf 10v capacitors in the upper area of the motherboard. Replace them with 1000mf 16v capacitors, soldering required. Make sure you install them with the ground in the proper hole. Put it all back together and you are fixed for less than ten dollars. Samsung should be doing this for free. It really makes me mad that they can put out such an expensive product and not accept responsibility for a potential fire hazard. I will make sure anyone who wants my opinion about an electrical product knows how bad samsung is. Good luck.

I have a Samsung LNT4061FX/XAA Serial no. AHBA3CSPA03617J. The TV will not turn on. It just continues to Click and the Red light in the front goes on and off. Is there a part available to fix this problem?

Regarding the problem with LNT406FX/XAA models not powering up - I contacted Samsung @ 1-800Samsung and they issued a repair tag and put me in touch with a repair company that came out the next day and replaced the capacitors on the power supply. Apparently Samsung got a batch of bad capacitors from a supplier and they know which TVs by the serial numbers. My TV was 28 months old and there was no charge. TV works fine now. Good for Samsung for acknowledging they had bad parts for and getting the tv fixed at no charge.
