I have the same problem. I've updated all the drivers, tried setting the laptop up to send the signal to a second monitor, moved my HDMI cable to all three plug ins on the TV and spent 2 hours on the phone with the tech guy and still couldn't solve it. I think we may have tried changing the graphics card setting, but we tried changing so many settings I am not sure. Where do you go to change the graphics card settings? Thank you for your help.

While dusting, the tV went off and we can't get it back on. It is a Samsung, about 2011 or 12, about 46inch, hooked up to a sattelite.

It seems you accidentally touched either a signal cable connected to the TV from the Satellite receiver or the power cable from the electrical outlet. Try removing and reconnecting both cables. If the power cable is not connected right then the TV will not turn on at all; and if the signal cable is loose then the TV should turn on but there will be no picture. Another possibility is that the fuse at the fuse box tripped due to an accidental short circuit. Go to the main fuse panel and reset/replace the fuse depending on what kind you have. Most fuses these days can be simply reset. Hope this works. Electronic parts inside the TV rarely go bad so soon. Solid state electronics are pretty sturdy.

Hooked up to TV but can't get the sound leads to work. No sound from TV?? Can anyone advise please? Lorna x x x

u cant get sound from TV linked to PC.....as the PC's sound system use a RF connection...it does not have a amplifyer...the sound system travel in two formats....non-amplified and amplified....the sound sent from PC/Laptop it's already amplified...but the TV connector can receive only non-amplified signal(say from a DVD player, camcorder, music system etc)...it cant process the signal from PC/laptop......you can connect ordinary speakers ment for laptop to the sound out jack in the PC/laptop and use the TV to receive the video signal....from PC
hope this helps

I am transitioning our spare bedroom into a tv room. There is a coax wall plate in the room. I bought a new satellite receiver but do not think the coax wall jack is turned on. I can not get a signal...

Hi
1st remove the plate from the wall cheek if there is a coax cable connected to it also make sure the plate is not broken if it is of the printed circuit type. 2nd trace out where the cable goes to most likley into the loft if you are using this to receive sat pictures the this lead will need be to connected to a sat dish or a aerial for tv (free view) if you have to replace any cable use the correct type.

Denon Receiver AVR 1602 not playing Dolby Digital w/ Samsung BD

Dolby signals are passed via either an RF cable or optical link. Both the receiver and player need to have these switched on and that they are passing the correct signals. You clearly found the correct setting for the TV sound link. Now you just have to find the one for the DVD player.
