Re: LOST SOFTWARE TO PARKERVISION WR 1500 --- PLEASE HELP...
You do not need to have a disk for the router. The router has firmware built into the router. Make sure you have your lan into the 1 port and type in your browser 192.168.150.1 and it should take you to a screen to log in. The default is 1234 for the user and password.
You should be able to use the wizard inside of the router after you log in. Hope this helps!

You won't get internet connection that way because there is no connection between the first parkervision and the 2nd one. Best way is use only one parkervision router. Connect WAN port to modem for internet, 1st lan port connect to your pc and 2nd lan port connect to 2nd pc in other room.
2nd way is, use only one parkervision. Connect WAN port to modem for internet, 1st lan port connect to your pc, setup wireless SSID and connect your 2nd pc to this router for internet wirelessly. Assuming your 2nd pc has wireless capability.
You can enter the routers setup pages by entering the default IPaddress
into your browser (192.168.150.1). The default passwordis
1234. You must get into setup and insure the the wirelessradio is
enabled before any of your clients can attach to the router.
type of wireless devices are you trying to attach to therouter?
If one is a notebook PC is the router visible as anavailable network?
Reset Button The WR1500 Wireless Router reset button is built into the rear panel. Use this button to restore the factory default password to 1234; IP address to 192.168.1.1, subnet mask to 255.255.255.0 and DHCP sever enabled with a pool of 8 IP addresses starting at 192.168.1.33.
What type of Alarm system? If that pakervision has network ports on the back there is no reason they couldn't run a cable to it and setup the security for you. I've never heard an alarm company tell a consumer "No you can't have wireless in your house" I'd need to know the model # of that parkervision because this doesn't make sense to me. If that parkervision doesn't have any network ports on it... yea go out and buy a wireless router that has ports on it.
You have to connect that 'access point to your machine directly' check for the ip address as the default gateway, assign your machine an static IP from the same subnet, hit refresh in the IE and you should see the log on page of that 'own made access point'.
If the network connections give you sign of exclamation hit repair.
THe best option is to refresh to factory defaults, and then start settings as you like to in this access point. Hiding a network is no trouble at all, once you are inside the access point you can reset your security settings as well. So the best option will be to reset the access node.
Hope it helped!
